@vishal3403 I don't think joining an MBA will give you time to prepare for IAS, infact it gets even more hectic than a job in IT itself. btw guys can we also have a discussion over the bifuraction between IAS and MBA preperation....can they both go hand in hand?

@vishal3403 Well as you said that this was your last attempt, I wouldn't recommend to leave your current job. As for the TA (with the extra money) it would barely equate to what you may be earning currently. Growthwise also it is not exactly private sector.

With your job ex better go for some master degree-MBA /MTech college of a govt mediocre type which shall give you ample time to prepare and keep your career on track.

Hi Vishal,Well Tax Assistant is C Grade Job which will fetch you around 17k money. Bad news is that its a clerical job.Good news is that it doesn't have much work and in probability, people from your office shall also encourage you to pursue IAS.Now either you can take up this job which shall not exactly make your career graph so continuous. But safety wise it is better than leaving everything all together.Other option is to drop the job and prepare full fledged for IAS and wait for other suitable job in between.(Safety)Join it. See the location of joining and everything - work hours, free time, are you able to study etc.(Less safe) Leave everything. Most IAS batches have started from October and some are to start in November. So go to Delhi join a coaching. Study,Pray and give all exams in between(SSC, SBI PO,IBPS etc etc)Note: SSC age limit is 27 years and for PO going to make it 28 years. Keep that in mind too.
Icecool11, bhai thanks for replying fast and even with analysed manner ...

But its C Grade status is killing me ...I know I have to take risks , but thts wht I have taken many time since Xth std 😞 ... this was my last attempt for SSC as per the age limit ..

but may I ask , (jus to be hopeful) ..TA earns a lot of money frm other sources ..and also promotions opportunities are there (I don knw wht & and the time required for)
Less courage/patience remained to take a big risks as I am fed up of taking so ..and this is the reason I m bugging you guys ! don mind ..

I have 3 attempts left 2013, 14, 15.(in short, I have only 2-3 years to do all such kinds of exercise ! )1.Will it be a gud option to switch towards ssc-cgl govt job , in a hope to get time for preparation, as I am not in favor of sitting idle without any job for the preparation..?
- wouldn't that be a risk , as I don know how much they pay , nd wht will be the future scope.2.And after switching , in worst case if I have not cleared IAS, can I come back for MBA after clearing CAT/GMAT (will the profile be affected by such career related variations ?)(I have currently appeared for the ssc CGL -12 nd hoping to clear the first round , next round will going to be held in Sept- 12, then interview in Oct- Nov)Please post some useful comments/suggestions..
Many many thanks in advance .
