An equilateral triangle circumscribes three circles of radius 1 cm.....what is the perimeter of the equilateral triangle ??

Options 1) 6 ( Root 3 + 1) cm

2) Root3 (8 + root 2) cm

3) 15 ( root 3 - 1 ) cm

Option (a). It is somewhat similar to Q12 at this link

In Δ ABC, if E divides AB in the ration 3:1 and F divides BC in the ratio 3:2, find the ratio of the areas of the Δ BEF and Δ ABC.

P.s in the solution apparently two perpendiculars were drawn from points A and E and these were in the ratio 4:1 (in that order), I still could not comprehend it really. Hope someone can solve this. Thank you
