4.25/1.25 *0.25 = 0.85 is gain

0.85 * s1 = 0.05 * s2

sales ratio, s2/s1 = 17. Ratio is 17:1

Let initial qty of milk be ‘x’

            Milk                                              Total
              x                                          x+0.2x = 1.2x
 x - 6*(x/1.2x) = x-5                               1.2x-6
      x-5+10 = x+5                        1.2x-6+10 = 1.2x+4

Final ratio = (x+5)/(1.2x+4) = 25/(25+3)
=> 28x+140 = 30x +100
=> x=20 L

@bharathkandeep time ratio 25:35:42 where 35-25=10 so individually they will take 25,35,42 days work done by Manish and puneet together=29/35 remaining 6/35 so Ajay will do it in 42/(35/6) days or 7.2days

 Let work done by one worker in 1 day be x.
Let the number of workers in the group be n

work done in successive days are

nx,(n−1)x,(n−2),...1nx,(n−1)x,(n−2),...1  and they work for n days.

nx+(n−1)x+⋯+x  =  1

x(1+2+⋯+n)  =  1

xn(n+1)/2  =  1

xn(n+1)  = 2⋯(A)

If no worker been withdrawn at any stage, the group would have finished the job in 55% of the time. i.e., in 55n/100 days. Since work done in 1 day is nx,
55n/100×nx=1

⇒x=100/(55n^2) =20/11n^2

Substitute the value of x obtained in (A)
20/11n^2×n(n+1)=2

20/11n×(n+1)=2

20(n+1)=22n

10(n+1)=11n

10n+10=11n

n=10

There were 10 workers in the group.
