@nkmr47 Yes if I were to go by what they say - 'We do normalise across boards'
But I really don't think how does this process work. In a country with so much diversity in education patterns its extremely difficult to have normalisation in place for all boards. So I would suggest better not question it or crib about it. As no matter how much crib about it you would never get to know the real process. And this is something one would not know even after coming to a B-School. As there are certain policies which always indoor and never ever revealed to anyone.

And just think is that something which you have to worry about?? The answer is NO! I also cribbed about it when I went through the process but after having gone through I realise there was no point. But yes one thing can be rest assured - No Process will be static. It will be dynamic and ever-changing and will be driven by constant feedback. As these are top quality B-Schools and students are their assets and they would every bit to ensure these assets are highly valued and are selected on fair basis.

So Bottom Line Just Concentrate on what task you have to do - Write Entrance, Prepare for Selection Process, Get Selected and Experience B-School Life!

@cricaddict In our country we don't get uniform marks across board and university (like in state board we get less marks compare to cbse). So my question is "in iim's admission process do they normalize or make equivalent marks for state board"???

@imusk.manoj It would be really great if you post only in relevant threads. As only there you have your actual audience.

@cpunekar Check thier website. No B-School ever has only entrance score for shortlisting for various reasons. They would ideally not want people who have nailed in just those 140 mins. What you have done so far (grad, acads, extra currics) too is important as thats how MBA is structured.

So if you have any misconception regarding that than just let it off. This is again not to demotivate you but just make you aware of whole MBA Admission Process. And Yes it can be cruel even to the most deserving candidates.. So being +ve not only applies to you. For you it applies much more. So just keep the passion to do MBA high and let there be a relevant reason for doing MBA. MBA is not about Money. As long as you are passionate you will surely find a way! Wish you all the best!

@cricaddict well this doesn't sound good but yes have to stay +ve . I hope my work exp. will add some value along with a good CAT score.

I read somewhere that IIM C selection is done only on CAT score, have to confirm if it applies for next year.

Well that was quite an information. 😃 Thanks
