If you get into an IIM or XLRI it can only be an advantage unless you feel that you are very happy and content with your life now.:-P

Puys,

Like last year..... I screwed my CAT2010.....CAT2009 Couldn't write properly due to technical glitches.... this year..... I dont know what was wrong with me that I scored only...75.## percentile.... couldn't written any other exam seriously as I CAT2010 went well for me.... my big mistake this year.. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I have already 3.5 years of exp in IT industry.... next year...while again I will apply for the same.. I will have 4.5 years....of exp... Not sure if this is kind of disadvantage....... may be ... as I am getting old... next year .. I will be 27.... hell!...

I am depressed with my performance in CAT this years..... also with my job.... can anyone please help me to find out a way. from this dead end........ please.............................

Seriously CAT has become based on a lot of luck. Dont try to waste a year solely for CAT. If you are planning only for a Indian MBA , try for ISB , XLRI ( BM,PMIR).

Plus you will be eligible next year for xlri gmp as well. It requires 5 yrs of exp at the time of joining.

And if you are not averse to a foreign MBA try for schools in US,Europe and Asia as well . CAT is not the end of the world. For keeping your options open for next year try writing GMAT before August.

Hi Friends

Well I have a work exp of 3.5years in Telecom Sector ( Network engineer ) and working in rotational shifts. I attempted CAT'10, XAT'11 and NMAT'10 but unfortunatelly i was unlucky to come up with good score.:banghead::banghead::banghead:.I want pursue my post grad. from top B-School for which i have analysed few things :

1.If i plan for eMBA then i have to leave my job for which i am ready.

2.OR If i plan for part time MBA then also i have to leave job coz the of the rotational shift and switch to a new company. As all my frndz who are in telecom sector are aware of it that it is not possible to get a 8am-5pm job as a network engineer.

3.OR I should Continue with my present job and and again try for eMBA after 1.5years as no. of colleges require 5+ years of Work exp.

Opinions and suggestions would help me in overcoming my dilemma. :
Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for your reply...
Well there is no problem in grasping the topics from TIME materials, but the thing is that the exercise questions are pretty easy(not CAT level) according to me.
Thats why I wanted to know whether they are enough or do I need to refer Arun Sharma which has problems with different levels of difficulty(LOD 1,LOD 2, LOD3)..

Please suggest.

Time Material is certainly not enough. FYI, TIME has carved out a Quant book too which encompasses much more than just the normal material that they give to students. I have mentioned a link above, it would certainly do you good to visit there.
