Learning is an important aspect of humans for acquiring knowledge and skills. When this learnt skills and knowledge are used in practical world it makes the difference. I personally have learnt that group study is an important aspect for learning the same topic in various different perspectives and applying the same set of acquired knowledge in the practical life to get the benefits out of it. I don't belong to commerce background so initially accounts and finance very little difficult subject for me but learning this subject in a group study help me a lot and using this in the practical life of debits, credits, compounding discounting also help me in bettering my knowledge of share markets. Here at IMDR most of the work is to be done through self study and group study which will help to acquire the different views of the topics. This brings out a difference of views as each person have different cognitive ability. This also assist is handling the group dynamics and decision making process.

It was always a very big task for me to decide my specialisation. At first, when I decided on an MBA I had a great desire to take HR as my specialisation. As human resources isn't a thing we do, it's the thing that runs our business and HR is the face of every organization. After a few months of college, I was still confused about my specialisation. But now all these confusions have vanished and this is possible only because of the practical knowledge and various development activities conducted by the Institute. As I'm the Admission coordinator of my college so it's my work to provide Counselling to the candidates applying for admissions. Before few days I got this great opportunity to visit Indore for representing our college at one of the B-school fests which were organised for the Counselling of the candidates regarding various MBA colleges. I enjoyed that work a lot without being tired. At the end of the day, I realized that this is what I want to do and I like to do...influencing the audience, helping them to buy the product, educating them about the product and marketing is all about people and creativity, engaging and interacting with the audience. So on that day, I came to know about my specialisation that I want to take with all my heart. #mba #specialization #marketing#weareIMDR
A new journey always bring new special memories but when it comes to IMDR, this new journey became extra special with the overwhelming induction program. The program started with an ice breaking session where we got to know our fellow batch mates and got a chance to interact with them. Later there were sessions on skill development, presentation and sessions where we could have one to one interaction with the faculties, seniors and superseniors. Special sessions were arranged where we could interact with experts from different backgrounds. Besides such sessions we even have fun activities like chart making, treasure hunt, pune darshan, heritage walk and talent hunt. Pune darshan was a platform where we got to interact with our class mates and faculty in an informal way. At the end of the induction we were asked to give a presentation on any topic of our choice this activity indeed helped us to gain confidence and to come out of our comfort zones. The induction program was thus a beautiful experience for all the students.
