My query is same as Vivek Raj's i.e. if one passes out of a course which is not AICTE recognised and obviously take his diploma. Now later the institute gains AICTE approval then what will be the status of this guy's diploma.

Also if the institute gains AICTE approval when u r say in ur seconmd year then what will happen?

friends please throw some light on these questions

thanks

Well this is a true real life incident..
My neighbour went for an interview (he is an MBA from Amity) and interviewer checked the AICTE status by calling institute and he clearly asked that whether the course was AICTE approved in the year when this guy got his diploma?

Hope it he answers many queries..

HI guys!!!

Phewww..loads of views regarding AICTE!!

Well as far as i know(n i have interacted with sum top uk universities),for admission into a specialist masters programme(even research based)..all u need is a valid ug degree coz ur admission depends on tht!!

Only for a fellow progaramme u might need a recognised masters(cant comment on tht..i only plan a specialist masters or a second mba later..not a phd. ..lol).

Firstly,It is advisable tht even if a reputed bschool isnt AICTE recognised..u take it up..coz placements at this stage of life matter the most

Secondly, sum b-schools like Fore(even though AICTE recognised) are full of crap n shit with most of the students gettin a backdoor entry(hell i have a frend whose nevr scored more than 50% in her life...she did MBA at fore).

Thirdly, recruiters all over the globe look for employability n not for valid degrees...so if a institute scores high on a recruiters list...thts all tht matters...proof is scmhrd which has good placements year after year!!!

Hope it helps!!!

Kush

Says who.....???

There are about 20 odd colleges (dnt knw the exact no but it is definitely not more than 20) in India whose PGDBM is equivalent to an MBA. Apart from the IIM's other premier institutes such as FORE, IMI etc etc fall into this category. So studnts from these insti's can definitely procure admission to colleges abroad!!!!
(And for all i know, they would score much better on the reputation parameter than colleges such as ICFAI or eye eye pee m who mindlessly increase seats by the hundreds every year..........)
Don't compromise on the AICTE recognition, never know when it .............

Hi guys!

Yesterday I approached SBI for educational loan and they have put a tag on my application stating that the institute is not recognized by AICTE. They say that I will not get loans from them.

Can you throw some light on this issue of connection between AICTE and educational loans?

Hey Guys i am a knw entrant to this forum. And through AICTE approval thread i came across lots of views, of which majority were in favour in AICTE Recognisation. somebody said if ur not AICTE Approved then in that case u get DIPLOMA. With that respect even d IIM"s give a PGDM inspite of being recognised by AICTE.

I hv some queries like suppose u institute get AICTE recognisation after u hv passed out, in that case will will ur degree be approved if not then atleast give u some wt in ur further career.
Kindly let me know ur views.
Thanks
Vivek Raj

and to add to your point zarine, some US/UK univs accepts only a DEGREE in MBA for their PhD programmes.......so an AICTE recognised DIPLOMA in Management education won't serve the purpose of procuring admission to these colleges...... and ICFAI does give a degree in MBA !!!.
