[AIMCAT 2118 : QA - Q. 10]

How should I know that the terms are 1(multiplied by)2 (+) 2(multiplied by)3 + ..... and not 1(decimal)2 + 2(decimal)3..... ?

Is there a conceptual gap in my understanding or is the question ambiguous in itself?

I was confused by the same logic. assumed them to be decimals.

Generally when dot is used as a multiplier, it is in the center, and not at the bottom of the space btw the two numbers. Hopefully in the actual cat exam, such ambiguity won't be there.
