VARC- 74 (26C/8W) Nice! Hopefully it stays consistent here. DILR- 49 (17C/5W) Holy s**t! Accuracy went out the window. Section seemed easy-moderate and was expecting atleast 8 more marks QA- 61 (21C/5W) Really need to pick this up. Aise nhii chlega. Both accuracy and speed down :( :( OA- 184 (64C/18W) Average performance. 200+ was achievable.

Let A = (n – 1) (n) (2n – 1) represent the (n – 1)th term of a series S1, while B represents the nth term of the same series and C = (B – A) represents the (n – 1)th term of another series S2. Find the sum of the first 10 terms of S2.

How is that its 3030 ? Can anyone please explain ?

substitute n+1 in place of n to get the nth term i.e. B subtract them u get 6n^2 this is  the n-1 th term of another series so replace n with n+1 here to get the nth term

nth term will be 6(n+1)^2  i.e. 6(2)^2 + 6(3)^2 +....6(11)^2

6(4+9+...121)  (n(n+1)(2n+1) - 6 ) subsitute n =11 to get 3030

What's your mindset when attempting different sections? Like chill attitude in one section and atmost concentration in another etc. The reason I am asking, in general, I put lots of stress while attempting VARC section (my weakest section) unlike QA or LRDI where I am more relaxed and calm. Yesterday I tried the "chill method" in VARC and got "8" marks. Is atmost concentration necessarily required in VARC irrespective of whether it's your strength or weakness? Kindly reply :)

@jaskaran97 Got it. Unless you are too good, you can't except to comprehend well without at most concentration.

@karna517 Moral of the story. Comprehension is the key to success :P Concentration is the key for comprehension.

Though I hardly believe anyone will take pain in solving this query but still I'll try:

In VARC question 7, can anyone explain why 1st option is incorrect?

in last passage it is said that-- "by delivering near-atomic-resolution to structures never seen before, cryo-EM is helping explain decades of biochemical and genetic observations". and then after this there are many examples given. For me it meant that for decades what people were unable to explain with earlier methods are now able to do it throuh cryo-EM method.

So can't we infer 1st option?

@ronniem1996123 @devesh10 . I don't know who else to tag considering this year people on PG are hardly willing to help

@qwertycop completely agree with what @ronniem1996123 said. Look out for options with words with extremities like never, only etc. They are usually traps. Also, in the 1st option talks about complex molecules and this line does not specifically talk about them.
