hey!! my name is apurva and im just done with my bcom, im looking to pursue a masters in finance overseas. I was hit with a dilemma when it was bought to my attention that most universities in US and Canada require 16 years of education.

My question is this; is it necessary for me to pursue a masters degree (eg:mcom) to fulfill that criteria or can i just pursue a 1year diploma course (in finance) instead?
Also if i do end up pursuing a 2year masters or diploma is it necessary for me to do both years? Or can i leave on accomplishing the 16th year(1st year)?

this question is refusing to hound me despite all my efforts to gather information.
Please help me asap the situation is a bit urgent!
