hi....can u tell the cut off for last yr admissions??

Heyy thayasg,

the cut-offs for last year hovered around 85, but that varies every year depending on the trend & the difficulty level of the paper...so it's pointless predicting cut-offs, & so rather concentrate on writing a good SNAP paper..

Look, ours happens to be the world's second-fastest growing economy, & we are consuming capital goods and building infrastructure at a speed that has most companies & sectors seeing record business. Whether its manufacturing, banking, telecommunications, or services industry, its only gonna grow @ a manifold pace in near future. With an increasing number of global firms entering the Indian market there will be a huge requirements for Operations & Supply-Chain managers. Since the industry is @ a nascent phase, so the opportunity to grow is immense. Now, what does that mean for us?? We will never dry out of jobs & opportunities!

Hope it helps...

as of now I would only advise u to totally concentrate on writing a good SNAP paper, so that it fetches u the call. I dont think avg acads or lack of extra curriculars will hamper your chances, since it all boils down to your GD-PI once u r here, of course your work-ex will come in handy when u face d interview panel..

Chances depends on SNAP score and doing good in SNAP should be the main objective as of now.

Hey Shashanka & hrishikesh, thanks for the reply ! But, how much of considertaion does SIOM gives to work ex, acads, while deciding to give a call for GD, PI ??

Ofcourse, scoring good enough score to be eligible is still the top priority ;)!

Its too early to say 'how much' consideration but one thing i can say is Every Thing In Your CV Counts. Score as much as u can in SNAP !!

Hi Kathasuri, as u said you are in your final year of graduation, i would suggest a full time MBA course in your area of interest.
To quote an example, SIOM offers an MBA in field of Operations, which is totally different from general MBA. So narrow down on the fields of interest and then decide. A PG Diploma course is not generally suggested to fresh graduates.

All the information that is posted in college website is released officially by college and is 100% genuine. If there are any queries they can be clarified by contacting SIOM.

SIOM is one of the very few colleges that publishes genuine information and if you have observed, SIOM releases its placement figures almost at the end of the placement season just to give its prospective students a more clarified report on average pay package.

Thank you prateek for informing us about the issue. We will try to take all necessary steps to make sure no such rumors are circulated in future.
