CTET 2019

CTET or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test is a national level professional exam which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) twice a year. It is a very important exam for candidates aspiring to build their careers as teachers. Those who successfully crack the CTET become eligible for recruitment as Primary or Upper Primary teachers.

CTET is an online computer-based test which is conducted in two languages, Hindi and English. The first session of CTET 2019 was held on 7th July in several cities across India. According to the CTET 2019 new notification, the second session of the exam will take place on 8th December 2019. The online application process for this exam, which started on 19th August 2019 was completed by 18th September 2019.

With the CTET December 2019 applications now over, there are a number of applicants who have made mistakes in the application process. Keeping this in mind, CBSE opens a correction window every time so that relevant mistakes can be corrected. The correction window for CTET December 2019 which had been opened on 4th October 2019 closes today itself, that is on 10th October 2019.

This is the last opportunity for corrections for candidates who had made any kind of mistakes in their application. Any requests hereafter will not be entertained by the CBSE.

In order to make any changes in their application, there are a few steps following which they can access the correction window –

  1. Visit the official website

The correction window is found only on the official website of CTET, which is www.ctet.nic.in. There are no other links and options for accessing the correction window. Thus, candidates must go through the following steps carefully.

  1. Log in

All applicants receive a registration number and password. This must be used by them in order to log in to their account. Make sure to put in the correct credentials. Once the candidates log in, they can access their online application form saved in their account.

  1. Check the information

Candidates must open their online application form and thoroughly the check the mistakes in it. On the form itself, they will find the link for editing near every section. Click on the edit link near the section with a mistake and make the necessary changes.

  1. Save the changes

Once the changes are made, it is extremely important for the candidate to save the changes. If the details are not saved, the mistakes will not be corrected, causing problems in the application. Candidates might have to pay a fee. If the applicable fee is not paid, then the changes will not be saved.

Since today Is the last day, candidates should make sure that they finish the correction process fast. However, mistakes should be avoided at all costs.

The admit card for the CTET exam will be released by CBSE in the month of November 2019, possibly in the third week. The results for the same can be expected by January 2020.
