Founded in 1970, IFMR Graduate School of Business, also known as IFMR Chennai and affiliated with Krea University, is a privately-operated business school situated in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The institution holds accreditation from SAQS and is notably recognised for maintaining one of the most favorable faculty-to-student ratios among private educational institutions in India. IFMR offers a flagship 2-year full-time MBA program, admitting 180 students annually. Furthermore, the Business School provides Executive MBA (EMBA), Management Development Programs (MDP), Certificate courses, and the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, and Management. Admission criteria at IFMR include evaluating candidates based on their CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, GRE, or NMAT scores, followed by application screening, a Writing Ability Test (WAT), and a Personal Interview (PI) round.
In the 2023 IFMR GSB Placement season, there was a notable 22% increase in the average salary compared to the preceding year. Additionally, 14 new recruiters opted for IFMR GSB during the previous placement cycle. The average package for IFMR GSB graduates reached INR 13.5 LPA, with the highest package hitting INR 22.9 LPA. Among the prominent recruiters were Deloitte, EY, KPMG, JP Morgan & Chase, Wells Fargo, and PwC, among others.
