Babu Banarasi Das University was established in 2009. The university is named after the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The foundation stone of Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow was laid in 1998. Babu Banarasi Das Engineering College Lucknow is a part of the university that offers technical education.

Babu Banarasi Das University Admission Process

All the applicants of the engineering courses are admitted in the institute are required to have a certain score in the qualifying exam to get admitted to the course. UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam) is the state level exam that is required to be passed by the candidates.

The test is conducted by Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), which was formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University.

The exam is followed by a counselling round and a personal interview round.  B. Tech and M. Tech candidates are required to get a certain score in the exam in order to get admission in the course. Candidates are selected for admission in a particular course on the basis of the cut off list that is announced right after the result of the qualifying exam is declared. The institute announces a cut off list in which certain scores regarding the qualifying exam are given.

Candidates are required to cross this cut off score to get admitted to the particular course. UPSEE cut off list is prepared for B. Tech and M. Tech courses.
