School of Rural Management
The impressive economic growth in India in the last decade, notwithstanding the level of rural poverty and unemployment, remains high and the problem of rural-urban disparity continues to exacerbate. It is in this context that the School of Rural Management (SRM) has been conceived and the current rural development need of the country has been kept in view.
The new academic complex with its unique architectural design integrates well with the theme of the school. The 45,000 square foot building has six technologically equipped class rooms, four syndicate study room, spacious faculty offices and common spaces.
The SRM is a full-time residential programme and all the students are required to stay in the hostel. The state of art SRM hostels with all modern facilities are under construction and ready for possession in November, 2008.
The School of Rural Management has 12 faculty members with many years of diverse experience in the field of rural management. SRM also gets faculty support from SOM in terms of functional areas. The strength of the faculty is likely to go up to 20 before the start of the 2008-09 academic session.

The first batch of MRM programme will be placed in the year 2009. Their confidence to give a flying start to the placement programme for the first batch (2007-09) emanates from the extent of support they have received for their academic programme, particularly so from industry and development organizations in field segments.
