I just had my interview for XLRI-BM today. i guess i'm one of the first ones so m putting up my experience. Hope it benefits u.
My interview was at 2.20pm. i reached thr at about 1.45. No document verification. Was called in at 2.20.
Three panelists..among them Mr. Jesurajan and Mr. Mohanty. Third sir..i cudnt recognise.
q- Give me ur folder of certs.
I gave that. he was checkin it very thoroughly.
Q- describe yourself.
A- Blah Blah..Said my dad was in the army.
Q- So u must be knowing abt the army. tell me wat is the general impression about the army?
A- Said it was good..blah blah..
Q-Wud u marry an army officer?
A-Maybe..:wow: ..i havent decided sir.
Q- Wat do u want 2 do after ur MBA?
A- Blah blah..said something about satisfaction..
Q- So why are ppl not satisfied 2day?
A- Said something about workplace adjustment n all..
Q- Dont u think routine is a problem?
A- well, yes sir..said something about dat.
Q-So why havent u worked for one year?
A- blah blah..
Q-So wat was ur rank in college?
A- told him
Q- tell me the names of indian electronics companies..
A- i said Texas Instruments
Q- Thats an MNC!!
A- hmm..aah..i dont remember sir.
Q- One panelist asked some simple maths problem on speed.
A- i bungled it up 
..but managed 2 explain the logic a bit..not satisfactory..:(
Q-Do u know abt computers?
A- a bit sir.
Q- how much RAM wud windows 98 require?
A- 256
Q- are u sure?
A- sir, thats the general configuration.
He didnt look happy wid the answer.
Q- Third panelist asked wats the difference between a network and internet?
A- answered.
Ok, u can go.
I think dats about it...must have forgot some questions.
No stress..be cool..

Win98 would run even on 64 MB of RAM. For that matter, WinXP would run on 128 MB RAM! But for optimal performance, we need ATLEAST 256 MB.

It lasted for 15 mins.. no stress interview no grilling on anything.

Just an advice
Don't judge ur chances of selection by the duartion of interview or no of questions asked or even the areas from which questiosn were asked. Long (or short) interviews are no indication of your prospects. Without worrying about the duration, try to give it ur best shot.
dude plz do not take it otherwise i have run win 98 on 16mb ram so ans was a bit off track

had my xl i/v 2day...was a stress i/v but it went kinda ok...just as a preamble, i'm a final yr mech engg student. my ECAs r high & my grades not so much(just 70.3%).
my panel had prof. jesurajan sitting rt in front of me (thr were 3 panelists in all). he asked q's till the 8th one below..then he switched to just staring at me and tearing some paper into pieces...
here r the q's:
1. please introduce urself
2. wot do u expect 2 b taught at XL?
3. but don't u already know abt ethics( i had also mentioned biz ethics)?
4. tell us how is F1 unethical in one way (i'm interested in F1)
5. give an example which u think is illegal but ethical
6. name some F1 circuits
7. r u aware abt the rigours of doing an mba?
8. u hv devoted so much time 2 ECAs.. when do u study? u take studies 2b a side issue & focus only on ur ECAs. I think u will fail in XLRI.
9. if i ask a comp to calc 48^48, how will i cross-check its ans?
10. tell us something abt SEBI...abt CRISIL
11. wot happened in the IPO scam?
12. hv u ever bought a share?
13. diff b/w a 2- & a 4-stroke engine
14. if all 2-wheeler cos. start selling 2-stroke engine scooters for 70000 bucks, do u think its ethical? but it is legal...
it lasted 4 abt 15 mins.. in the end they asked me 2 sign on a list and gave me a huge smile..but i guess they do it 4 evry1...

C:so can linear programming be a DSS?
me:never studied it sir, sorry
C: what maths did u have
me:calculus, probability,.. (get interrupted)
C : ah, probability! SO can probabilistic analysis be a DSS?
me: why not? at least it is for bookies.(B laughs,thank god)

They asked me fr an intro,then went onto economics in which they asked abt laws of diminishing returns....discussed sum thigns hr....
went onto jessica lal case, best bakery case..... .then asked me abt judiciary interrupting in parliamentary matters....

dont knw whether to b happy or sad... went frm knp to delhi a 6 hr to & fro journey then janakpuri ws ard 1.5 hrs frm whr i ws staying...all fr a 5 min-interview
