hi guys here i m sharing my gdpi experience held on 3rd march in kolkata

Time:2 min to think 5-7min to discuss and then write the summary of discussion in 1 min
Brief Snapshot of Discussion: i started the discussion very well but after a min the other member started to interrupt somehow i managed to speak and completed my sentence and then the gd turned into a fish market, i stopped them twice and told them to talk one by one. gd came to end all of a sudden and we were told not to conclude but to write the summary of discussion in 1 min.
PI Details: my pi was all together a stress pi with main emphasis or questions related to my graduation and the current affairs1 lot of current affairs questions were asked and even about the mentor they asked and there were no such traditional questions like y rm or y i m choosing ximb or anything lie that. some fun was also there. panel member were cool and easy.

MISC. i think i could have done better if i would have prepared for current affairs. they were asking completely different type of questions to every other individual.

Not sure about Delhi, but in mumbai the PI and GD both were quite chilled out...

PI Details: 1st half was like question and answers only.....and 2nd half was a nice talk.....duration was abt 15 min.....

PL: a middle aged man sitting to the left who was just going through my CV in the whole interview. Asked couple of questions at last part of interview related to acads..
PM: again a middle aged man sitting in middle who consistently cross questioned my answers and was trying to freak me out.
PR: a women to the right side mostly asked general HR questions....

PR: Tell me where do you want to see yourself after 5 yrs???
ME: Told abt plans after 20 years(long term) and said not really planned short term plans....

ME: told.....(my family have some political background hence the next questions were related mostly to politics)

ME: told abt infra, education,etc..

PM: Do you want want to enter politics??
Me: no.....explained why? (PM Teased me a lot on my answer)

ME: biological or computer virus?

PL: wat you have loved to do most in your graduation????
ME: Playing cricket(everybody smiled)

ME: told it was my parents decision to get me into CS.
PR: why do you think you are a good manager?
ME: told i have pretty successfully handled the position of secretory in college .....and arranged a lot of events in last 3 years with great success each and every time....
PR: your grades are consistently going down.....how could we select you....
ME: gave some solid reasons(dont know they believed or not)....
Overall 50-50 chances of being short listed.......u never know the results of an interview.......BEST LUCK......be wat u r in the interview....

I was the 2nd speaker in the Gd. chipped in once more... But later it became a fish market. Everyone started speaking after about 3 minutes.
PI- It was like morning Tea-time. Table at the center. Me sitting at one side and 3 panelists..All Men, 1st infront(F), 2nd on my left(L) and 3rd on my right(R).
F-Tell me sth about yourself?
Me- I told what I had prepared. Lastly I said- We give Compensation to people who sell land to us...
L- COMPENSATION 
What is the difference between Price and compensation??
Me- Told smthng but wasnt gud enough.
L- Suppose while driving a car u hit someone and he died and u give 2 lakh as compensation. What is it?
Me- As it happened because of me I had to give him compensation. Human life is priceless but 2 lakh is extra amount as damage was done by me. They seemed kind of convinced.
L- How is Real-Estate affecting agriculture in India?
Me- Had prepared. Gave some gyaan.
L- U told Agricultural productivity is increasing. In Orissa what is the govt dng to increase rice productivity?
Me- Again told smthng.. Seemed convinced.
L- What is the difference between normal seed and hybrid seed??
Me-Had some idea. Tried to tell smthng I had read in an article.

Yes its always good to carry CV to the interview.......carry ur acads original documents with you......u should be better prepared for that coz sometimes panel may ask u to show the certificates.......and do not forgot to carry original photo ID along with true copy of it.....also remember ur XIMB ID.....

did u appear in delhi(18th 2 PM), with me also I felt the same, they were not interested in listening to my answers and smiling on everything I say, ofcourse I was serious :P

Bloody the gd topic was good. - 'only women's empowerment can lead to social dev'. But unfortunately ppl started off as tho' they were running a race. I wonder what managerial skills can be depicted thro such chaotic discussions.
