In my view, It's way too early to even think abt XAT's Essay part.. I think u shud just concentrate on the Questions and the sections rather than worrying abt the essay part..
All XAT takers and XLRI aspirants guess the thread title is self explanatory regarding it's purpose...
anyway for general purpose queries (which are not exactly year related ) go through the following threads of yester years and see if your question has been already answered...we can let the XLRi junta breathe a little easy maybe..:)

Dude.. Its not an engg. enterance exam whr only cracking the written exam will ensure u a seat.. Call it ur bad-luck or beauty of such exams.. 😃 😃

should be a week after XAT..thats the general trend...
one of my frens got 99.95 percentile , got a call and was chucked out , i mean i dont know whats the criteria , missed on the xat dates the earlier year but this time im on for XAT , studying the paper patterns , have to crack this ,

Also wanted to know ...heard that general knowledge was done away last year ...was it a permanent change or r there possibilities of it reappearing this time ....
Me too giving XAT this year.....has anyone joined in classes?.....Moi not joining any classes.....just trying to read newspapers for VA and solving Quants and DI from Times material. Could anyone give the weightage of the sections?
