hii , i just want to know the cut off for outside mah candidate , r there any reservaton it

please tell us how many seats are available for outside maharashtra category. is it the same as jbims(eighteen) or is there any change in format?

the cutoff for oms candidates was

mms 186

pg 184

There is no reservation for OMS candidates..

Every year the Dte people relaese the seat distribution..which i guess they havent done for 2009-10.

JB has 120 seats.SIMSREE has 60 seats for MMS and 60 seats for PG.

15% of the total seats are for OMS students.

Thus 9 seats for MMS and 9 seats for PG.

Both the courses are similar.Just that DTE has segregated them like that.

hello inder,

the placement process is going on..sorry but cannot reveal details abt them as we are bound by some rules.

But the last year's record is already on our website..
The avg sal was 8.01 lakhs/pa..
We surely hope better figures this year..They will be revealed by our Placement Committee later..

I am sure many of you will have queries regarding the placement scenario's etc..

Actually i will not be the right person to answer ur queries..

Some one from Placement Committee will be the best person to answer them..

Soon Mr.Vikrant Shitole and other placement members will answer your questions..Be patient as they are the most busy people in the college.So as and when they get time they will answer ur questions.

15 % seats are reserved for OMS candidates.In this you donot have further reservations like BC,SC,ST etc..thats wat i meant by no reservations..I hope u got it..otherwise get back..

oh! sorry.. i got it now.. u mean no "backward" reservations within that 15%seats..

such a reservation would be almost impossible! thanks a lot..

Hey sandeep.
In answer to your ques about life at SIMSREE i would say that i am enjoying it very much. The students and faculty are good. You will have an environment that is full of enjoyment and studies..Both go hand in hand..
About batch profile- around 60-65 are engineers(an approx guess), rests r commerce students,B.Sc, Hotel Management, etc etc..
many students have work ex..I am talking bout the 08-10 batch..
Regarding placements- No comments from my side..
wait till a Placement committee person answers ur query..They can tell u accurately

Welcome to Sydenham Institute of Management Studies (SIMSREE) Thread!!! Thanks Rucha for starting this thread. Placement scenario at SIMSREE as always is Rocking !!! For last years figures and detailed placement Report please access the link SIMSREE . Amongst the list of colleges through CET , we are second only to JB as far as placements are concerned.The Executive(final) placement week for 2009 batch will be conducted in month of Jan . While for Summer Internship we have a rolling process. I am sure this year too we will better our last year's placement record comfortably . Of course due to global economic slowdown , the job market is affected throught MBA colleges in India , but due to our brand reputation build over last 25 years and with a strong alumni base , placement scenario this year as well as in coming years @ Sydenham ,be rest assured is very positive.

ankit told u quite a bit abt life@syd would like to add a few other points.

Life is hectic..but i guess u need to accept it once ur in a bschool!!

College is usually from 8 to 8..but inspite of that we still sometimes squeeze in time to go for a movie..

Im the CR..so my friends keep asking me for a free lecture..but in vain..again the reason being we have to make the most of it in the 2 years time:)

Students have come from different places..right from Kashmir to Coimbatore..amazing personalities to be with.

We must say we are njoying every moment we have been here..

i wanted to ask tht like JB does Sydenham also accept both mat and cet scores or does it only accept cet scores.

also can u tell me wen does the admission procedure start??
