in what sense are you asking
with a score of 70.5 you are bound to get a call
My overall score is alright..I am worried about the GK section as i only scored 5.
some queries and some problems...i) m a biotech er. (prob.) and i want to join simc av course ...m i eligible (query)...ii)m geting 70 in snap...16 in va (prob.) ...will it be sufficient(query)..iii)what will be diff. in selection process..for av then pgdcm...(query)...m seriously not getting the home assi. thing..(prob.)...iv)anyways i was trying to fill the form..n can't get the sop thing(prob)...i want to join as i WANT to ...m not getting what should i write....n the softwares...i know almost all the stuff a engineer knows..but for audio visual...i don't know MAYA type softs..(prob)..will this create a prob. (query)..and the last ...(hope)..the reference...it seems i don't know anybody..in media ..in corporate ...in academics..(prob) ...can i fill my friends names..some in all..(query)...so many probs..pls answer...

as far as i know there is no sectional cut-off in simc
even if there is they will only stress on your english score
so i don't see any problem with your score

heyy ppl....the cut off for SIMC is as low as 35-40 as per IMS and TIME....pls let me know whether the info is reliable.
well ppl...for ur info....Simc looks at sectional cut offs especially-english and Gk...and ulll dont have to worry abt quants as they are not considering it as much as the others.This latter was mentioned in an email by the director of SIMC to all snap applicants...guess ull too should have got the mail....neways...thanks to the ppl who have already started posting...n all the others...pls join in asap...
acc to CL Classes Cut-Off for SIMC is 65+.....
so it'll b better if u wait for SNAP's Official cut-off by 20th Jan But if u havnt filled up d form i suggest u fill it up coz normally its said that SIMC cut-offs r low.....til last yr atleast..... but since SNAP gave surprise dis yr so b ready 4 surprises in Cut-Offs also.

I think everyone getting above 50 should apply.
Coz last year ppl with 40-45 marks also got a call frm simc.
But yes english has a higher weightage in simc.
So consider that.

ya the cut-off for simc is infact a bit low...any score above 45 is good
but you need to have a good verbal score

simc as an institution has grown tremendously in the last few years
may be because of that people think that the cut-off will be high
but all depends on the people who are applying
according to me if you are getting around 50 then you'll definitely get a call
