Brief Idea about whole CET and Admission process

Cet exam is of 240 marks

I am putting it month wise so that you will get rough idea...

1st week Jan 2012 : Notification of CET will come out.Keep checking www.dte.org.in/mba
3rd week Jan 2012 : Forms will be out. Personal advice please fill it ASAP.
3rd week Feb 2012 : CET exam . The D day . Probable date this time is 18Feb
1 or 2 week of Apr 2012 : Written score result will be declared.
3rd week of Apr 2012 : Register online for GDPI process.Allocation is first come first serve basis. So do ASAP. GDPI Centre is system allocated on basis of your cities of schooling and graduation.Keep checking www.dte.org.in/mba
2/3/4 week of May 2012 : GDPI will begin.
2/3/4 week of May 2012 : Document verification at ARC.Any ARC will do.
2/3 week of June 2012 : Final results will out.State level merit and all india merit will be declared.First provisional result will be declared .Time for grivenance. Final result will be declared .Keep checking www.dte.org.in/mba
1/2 week of July 2012 : CAP1 : Online filling of preferences
2/3 week of July 2012 : CAP1 : Online allocation
3/4 week of July 2012 : CAP1 : Reporting to institute

Similar process follow for rounds 2 and 3

CAP round 4 will be centralized at some institute.Which will be declared by DTE.Last year institute was PUMBA

P.S. : Last year major issue of domicile and caste certificate.Please start working on it now.It will save much of your time during crucial phase of studies.

CAT is converted to CET score. For example, if you have 98ile in CAT, you will be considered as 98ile in CET also.
Cut off for Pumba in CET lies in range of 98-99%ile
Placements season is on, close to 50% students already placed. And its just mid December

Average package shall be around 6-6.5 lk/a 😃


P.S. Sorry for confusion. CAT scores are considered for All India Seats.

Cut offs for outside Maharashtra students is around 98%ile+ in written test.

Everyone gets GD/PI calls. Single GD/PI for all colleges participating in CET
Total Score: Written(/200) + GD/PI (/34) + Academics (/4) + Work experience (/2) =240
Note: After GD/PI, as per cumulative scores, ranks are assigned and colleges are allotted.

There is three category in PUMBA admission.
1.Home university 2.Other home university 3.All india
Ketan already mentioned cutoff's %ile.It hardly vary from year to year.
I will soon post last year HU OHU and AI ranks cutoff for last year.

@shaney : From your post ,you fall in OHU category.

kindly please elaborate a bit more on the placements..like the highest n lowest packages...also do all the students get equal opportunities in the placement processes or there is some sort of difference for freshers n experienced guys??
me being a fresher this thing is of utmost concern to me....:sneaky::lookround:

As already mentioned above ,placement season is only half way , figures likely to vary as few big companies in pipeline.
You will get many good opportunities as like experienced guy likely to get.Experienced guy get little higher package as compared to fresher.

But dude. for PUMBA( one of the top 5 colleges) the cutoff must be over 99 percentile in cet , so rarely would anyone wanna convert his cat score into cet score , don't you think ?

Also for the benefit of all PUMBA aspirants, could you explain us the process of cet. cap rounds , gdpi and all. it would be really very helpful for us all.

It Totally depend on personal choice.Soon students had converted score.

The fees for MBA++ was Rs. 65000 per year for open category & Rs. 32500 per year for OBC
