All The Best,

Okie, let me be the first to post...

Firstly, I have started taking up mocks( OLD IMS ) . And , i don't kno, I m stuck in the range of 120-140(my best so far).
Now, to get through JBIMS one at least require 170+ or something( depends on the toughness level of the paper , of coarse!). Still, 140 is way behind.
My weakness is ,right now, I 'm lacking in speed ( miss around +20 every time i take a test).
How to make up for the rest of the questions.. i mean attempting all 200 questions is not humanely possible and in the end i 've to bluff.
How to score 180+ .Any guidance in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Second of all, how is the competition level going to be this year considering there's no MAT/ATMA for OMS seats.I know, this is irrelevant still ...( to keep my tempo high)..

Thanks !

Hi friend, here is my opinion about your queries.
Improve your Speed: First of all you must never try to solve any speed breakers. I have observed that you will find this speed breakers mainly in DI & in Visual Reasoning. So You should always keep it in mind that while you are solving a DI Set, you should not always try to solve all the problems. I have seen, in every set of 5 questions, 3 are easy and 1-2 might be time consuming so better to leave them or guess smartly. Same is with VR. You can also do one thing. as VR questions and DI sets are easy to find you can leave them for the end.
So the first round should be all the questions except DI & VR nd in the next round you solve these two kind of problems.
OMS Cut-off will go down & the number of seats that will go to Maharastra Candidates will increase: The reason is the people who used to get seats in JBIMS on the basis of MAT/ATMA etc. will now have to take CET & it would be very difficult for them to score 99.9 this time & some of the people might not have prepared for The CET. being a speed besed test it's not very easy to score high in the exam. I'd just say Maharastra walon ki to nikal padi.

here are some mocks that would help all fellow apsirants
ALL THE BEST:cheerio::cheerio:

I don't have much idea about CET, so please bear with me.

1. How many seats are there in JBIMS for OMS candidates?

2. If we take MAT(feb), will the cut-off be again around 99.9+ ?

oms students have 18 seats.
this year feb(mat) will not be considered for JBIMS seats.you will have to prepare for cet to enter jbims.
hope it helps:cheerio:

oms cut off will go down .i agree.as the no. of seats would increase .coz now no ms candidate will claim all india seats.coz they will apply only through cet and would be considered for85% seats.(considering that cat 99+ getters would go to iims).earlier few of all india seats i.e oms seats were claimed by ms candidates who applied through mat/atma/jmet/xat/cat.
so i think cut off for oms will come down.as no.of seats would increase.
please comment!!!!!!!

Hey are u sure about this? I think i came across this somewhere that 9 out of 18 seats are reserved. I am not sure though i presumed there will be reservation so didn't check further at the time. Could u tell me if it is mentioned on the DTE site somewher for confirmation that there is no quota for OMS ?
Thnx in advance 😃

there is no reservation for oms.

reservation only applies for mah seats.

also minority colleges give admission under minority only for students who belong to mah state.e.g if you are a gujarati outside mah you cannot apply for minority in kj somaiya.

so oms seat dont have reservation is confirmed.

o This is a catastrope for me. I just applied for MAT for the sake of JBIMS.
and guys
this year do they accept any other test scores other than that of MahCet?
