just thought i'd provide some info regarding the result
first of all seats at iift this year are:98 and not 90...
and what is not known to everyone is that iift ppl hv a set number of guys and girls to be taken in every batch...
this year due to problems in accomodations ....admissions will be denied to 20 well deserving females...and it does not really affect the guys...
i cant be a 100% sure about the info...but this is what i was told by a person studying at iift

As far as the waitlist is concerned, it was out last year a week or so after the main list. It is sent through both snail mail and e-mail.
As far as accomodation is concerned, there is no problem in IIFT. Everyone on the list will be provided accomodation and no one will miss out due to lack of hostel facilities!

well now it really doesnt matter coz the list is out.. all we can do is hope for the waiting list n pray...
