Hi there..thanks for opening this thread :).

I missed SIBM-Pune last year (by 6 marks I think)..got through to SIBM-Banglore and SIOM, but trying for SIBM-Pune again, with renewed vigour :).

Could you please tell us when registration all the Symbiosis institutes would begin?? That's considering that SNAP registration has already begun.

Thanks,
Satish

I would like to know whether the talk would be general stuff abt college or would you also share info on how to crack Snap. This is the first time i am appearing for Snap, so i need your guidance...

Bro you are eligible for SNAP as the minimum % required in Graduation is 50%.........
And regarding cracking the SNAP the seniors here can help you a lot since they have gone through this and made it to SIBM.............
If you can score very high in SNAP, you can easily expect calls from SIBM, SCMHRD (blanket call)....
Good luck

Hi,
As far as academics and the min qualifications are concerned, you fit the bill. Please make sure that the degree course is not a part time or a distance learning course.

As far as cracking SNAP is concerned, over the years SNAP has been a test that tests your speed and aptitude, so while you focus on your preparation for Quant, DI&LR; and Verbal, make sure to work on your speed as well. Also the section Business Awareness is very crucial and has at times been the deciding factor in getting a call for GD-PI.

All the Best and Rock SNAP!!!

hi one small query , i've done a few certificate courses during my grad :

1) Tally
2) Marketing
3) Disaster management
4) First Aid.
5) Web Dev from NIIT

so will it give me an edge over others and possibly a better chance for converting if i manage to win a call for myself ? although my work ex is not impressive.

and do extra courses carry additional weightage than co-curricular activities ?

Hello

All the certificate courses, will definitely add weight to your CV. The shortlisting for the GD PI is based solely on the SNAP score. After that, there are a lot of things that are considered before the final call is given for admission. So all your co-curricular, extra curricular activities and achievements will definitely help.

seniors. i want to know 2 things.1 have heard that sibm gives no weightage to written score during gd pi . is this true.
2 what is the 2 year total fees at sibm pune , including hostel expenses ......thanks....

SIBM do give weightage to your snap score...... after your GD/PI , a final consolidated sore is generated in which 20% weightage is given to your snap score rest to GD/PI score

Fees for one year(2010-11) is 3,25,000+90,000(hostel).................so effectively total fees is double of that amount

Hi

I am a british citizen and wanted to do my MBA in India. I am studying towards a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Durham. My current average is 68% but Im looking to push that up to 70%+. I have done 4 internships: PriceWaterCooperhouse/ Grant Thornton / Bank Mandiri / Civil Service Internship in Malaysia

Would I have to sit the SNAP for 2011 admissions?

Well

The weightage is given to SNAP score in the final merit list preparation. The breakup is as follows

1. SNAP Score - 20 marks
2. GD - 40 marks
3. GT - 40 marks
4. PI - 50 marks
Total - 150 marks
