3) Use your cross-cultural / Global experience. We can well project ourselves as candidates for global business because we have already experienced the culture first hand. And as you rightly point out, we not only show "been there, done that" :sleepy: but also, that we added value to the every opportunity we got. Suppose you to United States on a project assignment, and there you work with people in the Client's team to make life better for the Street Children, then it will be a wonderful example of cross-cultural social work. Things like this can be our biggest sale'able point.

Anyways I don't entirely agree with this point. I dunno about the states but in few other
countries you need special permits to work with kids. Even if you get the permits(a pain in the a** process), and have minimal history of working with kids/social work in your own country, it begs the question WHY? I feel you should dabble with social work/working with kids only if you are passionate about it.

Can someone explain why choice B is right?

For the 2nd one I choose D because:
The author basically claims that " it often becomes clear that the result admits of more than one interpretation."
Lets say for eg:
Forum A predicts that Znaamed will not score 800 on the
GMAT unless he posts on forum A. Znaamed begins posting on forum A.
On Dday Znaamed scores 800!! Forum A believes it's prediction has
come true.
But lets say Znaamed also posted on forum B. So it can
also be interpreted that Znaamed scored 800 coz he posted
on forum B and so on and so forth. So basically, the cause of the
end result is open to contention. Based on this logic only choice D
is correct. That's how I tackled this issue.

No timings as such and definitely not combined study

This is what I have in mind.

1) Share resources (Hard and Soft Copies of Prep Material) and knowledge (probably facts pertaining to the preparation methods / college short listing etc)

2) Make a yahoogroup -- or a mailing list and share updates / queries / results.

3) Meet once a week or as suitable at a mutualy convenient place (if required).

4) And most important. Make a study plan and track it using the emails list. aka Benchmarking.

I am near indiranagar too. Have booked a date in april first week to take the test. I have started preparations, but not in full swing. When do you plan to take the GMAT.

Yeah, I do understand what you mean. I have come across few people who say that once you are admitted you will either completely love Tuck or absolutely hate the place. N I guess the FIT factor plays a very important role when it comes to Tuck. I guess one has to visit Hanover to get the true picture, and that's what the adcomm seem to expect.

Yup, I am also contemplating on applying to Tuck. But just 1 admit from this forum is not very encouraging. Tuck seems to be extremely selective.

Congrats Susie and Incarnation!!! I just hope all you guys (especially Mr.Iday) are still active on this forum during the next admission cycle to help out the noobs. Just checked this forum after a week or so and it's nice to see so many people getting invites and admits.

Allwin isn't this an exaggeration? Really depressing if it happens to be the truth. Just because there are so many Indian IT males applying, does not mean that this demographic is "useless" or so it seems by the way some people/schools react to us. Especially some of these "Ask xxx" threads on BW make an Indian IT guy feel like he has opted himself out of the race for a bschool by choosing the path that he did!!!
