Also can you guys post the road conditions from the two major railway stations of lokmanyatilak terminus and CST to the test centre in the morning after 6 am.

As per the placement brochure for marketing and finance and the mandatory disclosure
posted on the site things don't seem to be rosy.Considering most colleges do not update that frequently and some times miss crucial data, XISS lacks some very basic features which might be important to prospective students. Add to it the student profile as per the placement brochure is too gradutate (3yrs) (please forgive me if I am hurting 'feelings' here but facts are to be considered) with merely 2 or 3 B.Techs per a batch of 60 and the average work experience is < 1 years with majority (~90%) being freshers. Considering the location (dis)advantage and the enthusiasm (or the lack of it) among the students to be on pagalguy or atleast market the institute on its own website (e.g. no info on current fees of the program) one can make an educated guess about the placement and industry interaction scenario. I myself would like to apply to XISS and would encourage but it seems less than an underdog.
(Apologies again but i have no intention to hurt sentiments or stir a hornet's nest)

Oh yes, it will be a big gamble. The reason being your non-finance background. If you have done some "sincere" studying in the past on your own then you can take chances because retaining some 2500 pages correctly and analytically is as important as having a keen interest in finance. But then its your take, if you think you can devote some time and effort to it (ahem, and around Rs.50000/- i.e. if it's a non-issue) and are willing to push hard then you must definitely go forward.
p.s - I am getting hosed by all the economics and financial statement analysis.

giving the exam @ kathmandu. Currently in hyderabad but thinking to shift soon. But kind of doubtful abt the future prospects. I have abt 2 yrs of IT and 10 months of trading experience. Especially since CFA is tailored for US and indian markets are yet to mature to that level for full use of the course.
