At what point of the application the GMAT score is needed from mba.com
I have filled the online application and mailed the DD along with the printout form. Am I missing any step. Can anyone please confirm. Thanks!

It is not necessary for you to send official scores through mba.com

Step 1: Navigate to page where you select programs.

Step 2: Input the following -
Country - input India
State/Province: Leave Blank
University/School: XLRI
Program Type: Leave blank

Try this input and you should see "XLRI Jamshedpur - XLRI Jamshedpur - Postgraduate Program" as the search result.

I am applying to GMP with GMAT. Do I just need to send the XLRI PP form (with the photo and the signature) and the GMAT score card and the DD for now? All other schools ask for so much more details that it is a little confusing.... Sorry if this has already been answered before!:lookround:

yes. these are the 3 documents that you have to send. The typical document verification including academics, work ex. etc. are done during interviews and also as a separate exercise once you join XLRI.

could someone please share if there are essays to write for the online application for XLRI GMP?

Most US colleges have the fees payment as the last step and you can explore the online application to know what you are expected to complete before you actually pay the application fee. it seems to be the other way around for XLRI. if this question has already been answered, a link to that post would be of great help.

Yes. its a little different with XLRI. Step 1- is to send the academic information. Using this the admissions office will shortlist the candidates for interview. Only the shortlisted candidates are then sent an online link where the essays have to be submitted. Hope this helps!

I have an IT background of 10 years and currently working as Project Manager. My interest post MBA is to get into Account Management in IT, basically I am looking for career acceleration. However most of the GMP class profile is around 7 years experienced, and that makes me bit worried if the program will be the right fit to meet my career aspirations, particularly because I fall in the higher band of experience. Could you please advise, what kind of role I can expect post GMP and would be great if you can provide some high level idea on the salary range I can expect.

Hello MBAAspirant1980, We have many folks with close to 10 years of experience and account management IT roles seems realistic for you. I would say that GMP is a good fit for you because although the average work ex. is around 7 there are quite a few folks with more experience and so placement activities are not completely skewed towards roles for younger folks. Salary range varies from company to company and person to person, and hence it would be difficult to specify a range.

If you have been outside India for a continuous period of 2 years (during past 7 years) then please apply as an NRI. If not, then try applying as an Indian Applicant. I would advise you to give your Indian permanent address as all mail correspondence would be directed to your permanent address. If you have further doubts please call on the XLRI numbers.
