Got through MBA Gen Main campus.

Well..my mentor is Prof. Ram Mohan.
I am also looking for a company for doing my OST.

So far I reached to the conclusion, the chances getting into the company would be very less without any references.
It would be prudent to search your contact list..!!
I am doing the same these days.. (:p

Q1)what is the difference between Primary and secondary market??What is the difference in the kind of transaction that takes place on P.market and S.market floors???
Q2) What are ADRs and GDRs???

Well if you dont mind I can answer the first question and would leave second one to be answered by Mrunal Sir.

Secondary market
All the companies that you see listed and traded on any of the stock exchanges are called to be in secondary market

Now how these companies have become a LISTED COMPANY that process is called PRIMARY MARKET
Where a company proposes to issue shares in order to raise some money from the market, it comes with a PUBLIC ISSUE.
The public subscribes to the shares and are allotted according to demand and supply i.e in full or partially.
After this when the company lists on the exchange to be freely traded by anyone it becomes a part of SECONDARY MARKET.

Hi all
I got the information about BIMTECH call (Corporate Sponsored catageory) only after I paid the fee at Christ University, Bangalore.
They say that they would not refund the fee at all if we cancel our admit.
But lot of people suggest that it is just a game that is being played by the university.

Now Corporate sponsered seats is for 13Lac PGDM and 12L PGDB(IB).
Was little confused - Is it worth investing such a huge amount as compared to Christ which is 7L max (inclusive all.)

And as far as placements are concerned I explored on the campus (Christ) with the seniors, everyone manages it in the range of 3-5 lac .
Maximum this time has been 8Lac offered by Future First.

What about the placement scenario at BIMTECH?

Assumption:That I get the amount refunded by the Christ.

yaar...dont worry it is a kind of formality..i was also quite shocked to see dis first time....but den i hv contcted with a senior in chrst...she told me dat it is a kind of formality in which the dean/hod will tell us abt do's and dont do's during dis 2 yrs..relax..:cheerio:
and by d way i am also got selected in chrst main campus....

I also got through main campus.
After the payment of fee also, the admission is not confirmed.This is a little surprising crieteria.

Well if I understand it as just a formality,then -
- "Payment of fees does not guarantee the admission" -
The above statement become inapplicable.
Does that not signify that there would be some shredding at this level too, be it only 4-5 students.?
And what about the submission of document?
I guess most of the guys will be back to their places.
So we just need to come all the way from our place to this interview again...!!

ok placements for pgdm course and the other course i.e the main MBA are all centralized...

The pgdm course is the German Mba, the german people have a slight advantage as they can sit for dual placement, one in germany and one here.

For the normal Mba...
dis year placements...

for Finance the placements are doing really good...in a months time almost 70 percent have been placed with a package of 5-6.5 average with highest being offered at 9 lakhs.

for marketing ok ok placements average around 5 lakhs..

if u are pretty serious about HR, den you would surely get placed as almost evry one has placed but average lies around 4.5.

operations & systems - first time the batch is sitting for placemnts so waiting for more companies to come..

I am a little puzzled here, as per my interaction with some seniors on the campus and over the phone, I got to know that so far 120-150 students have been placed out of total strength of 600-650?
As you have quoted the figure of 70% what does it mean and with what base.
Do you mean to say that 70 for Finance guys.
If Yes
What about over all placement. (In absolute terms).
Would be great for your help.

Hello evry1.... I m back in Delhi aftr a nailing GD, MP, WSA and finally the PI..
I m sharing my experience abt d selection process:
Day-1 (29th January)
My GD_MP-WSA wer scheduled 2 be held at 9:15 and the authorities there started it on time too. There arrangements wer vry applaudable. There wer 25 Groups consisting 15 candidates in each grp. V wer 1st tkn 2 d auditorium n then they showed us thr presentation abt Christ n its courses, etc. Then d groups wer taken 2 thr respective venues 4 d GD n othr process. There wer 2 moderators 2 judge us. MPs were held 1st n topics wer given by them randomly. 90 seconds wer givn to think upon ur respective topics n anothr 90 sec to giv d presen. Aftr dat, the GD was held for arnd 20 minutes and finally, the Writing Skills test fr 10 min. I was in Grp "G-9".
My experince:
MP topic- Role of Central Vigilance Commissioner
GD topic- Inflation caused due to high food prices can be prevented
WSA - Lessons to be learned frm CWG 2010

My MP topic ws a bit tough as per my expectations bt still I ws able 2 manage.
Then in GD, I took d initiative 2 start d GD n carried it vry well. few othr pppl joined me commended my start. I then summarized d discussion in between aftr 10 min bcoz it ws diverting its way. Finally me n 2 othr guys concluded da GD.. I participated throughout d discussion.
In WSA, I think every1 wud have done well

Finally I got a call for PI at da same nite n my PI ws scheduled fr 30th Jan., 12:00 noon.
Day-2 (30th January)
PI process ws quite lengthy; it took arnd 4 hours fr me 2 get thru d process. My PI went gud, v wer handed ovr our WSA sheets before entering d PI room. There wer 3 interviewers 2 judge in evry aspect.
My experience:
I ws askd 2 introduce myslf 1st and then abt family, Then, they askd d reason behind my 1 yr drop n then they askd why mba n then wich specialization I want 2 pursue. Then they they askd questions 4m my graduation subjects n finally nailed me through the concepts of "efficient n effective". I was confident thruout the PI.
Finally I m keepng my fingrs crossd fr results on 2nd Feb....
