Your scores look good.. Dont worry abt the low Kaplan scores.. The Kaplan alogirthm is screwed (You can add 100 to that score to get a better idea of what ur score is). But still, as you are scoring in the low 700s, there is definitely scope for pushing it up by around 30 to 40 points.

Not quite.. In this statement we are essentially stating something is true and something else is false (Womanhood vs landmark in the industry). Hence these two must be parallel in tense.

A, B - Being is unnecessary - eliminate.
C - "her" apparently refers to the "new managing editor". Try plugging in the words "new managing editor" instead of her and see if the statement makes sense. So you get ".... industry than new managing editor womanhood". Doesn't fit.. Eliminate.

"it" refers to Madagascar! The clause before the "comma" is a dependent clause and hence the "it" in the independent clause will refer to the subject (Madagasar) of the dependent clause.
