On what basis are you saying that those Qs are "pretty important ones" ??? On the assumption that the first 10 are important?? Maybe its not so important after all. Did you go back and look at the feedback?? Maybe somewhere in that sequence you got a couple of experimental questions?? OR maybe getting the remaining 24 in a row!! correct helped you?? Too many variables!!!

I've never understood people's obsession with trying to figure out a pattern. There is no way you can beat the system. You should really focus on why you got those Qs wrong rather than why you got a 51 even though you got a set of Qs wrong. On the actual day, you wont know which you got wrong and which you got right, and where was the sequence. So why bother with the sequence now? Focus on the Qs!!

whoaa! easy dude.. i'm not trying to figure out a pattern. but getting the numbers right would help me save precious minutes on a 10 minuter..

AND, there is no 'feedback' where manhattan would state whether a question was experimental..

I have a simple query..

After I was done with a Manhattan online test, I saw that I had gotten 9 questions wrong in the math section, that too pretty important one's (4,6,7,10,12...)

So why did they give me a score of 51 in math?

If you browse through the forums, you'd find out that Manhattan SC guide is basic and sufficient.
For more practice Official Guide - Verbal is mandatory.

My CR accuracy is around 60% i.e. I tend to slip on the harder questions.
Got a copy of "Powerscore - CR Bible" after scouting the forums.

But it's filled with page after page of CR theory..
I'm simply not able to put this book in the correct perspective.

IS it actually meaningful to slough through this book with my GMAT 50 days later ?

dude, dont worry. OG12 is not that different from OG11.

BANGALORE: Getting that coveted foreign MBA degree has become tougher with Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT), an essential right of

passage for admission to business schools globally - including Harvard, Kellog and Wharton - carrying 33% more new questions. GMAT will have 300 new questions in all the five sections, the highest being in data sufficiency.

Globally, lakhs of students take GMAT every year for admission to over 1,900 B-schools across the world including a few management schools in India. Nearly 20,000 students take the exam in India.

In the new format, in the sentence-correction section, there is an increased emphasis on pronoun and modifier rules, while there is reduced focus on comparisons and idioms-related questions. Similarly, in the reading comprehension questions, the Graduate Management Admission Council - the global authority to prepare the test papers - has created a balance between short and long passages. Two biology passages have been replaced with one social science passage and one business-related passage.

While the number of inference questions has increased significantly, general and specific questions have remained the same. "Roman numeral questions have been removed, indicating GMAT may move away from these. The GMAC spends millions of dollars on research to ensure that only the best students get into these B-schools and that they are well-rounded, not just bookish or just good in language," said Rashmi Gowda, GMAT analyst and head of CSquare Learnings, a leading GMAT prep institute.

In the critical reasoning section, 50 old questions have been replaced with 50 new ones. There has been a decrease of 19 questions in the problem-solving section.

I'm not able to register for the gmat.

The website asks for UG institute but when one tries to enter the instutite and its city, it says cannot find the institute. For city, it has just one fixed option in drop down.

Anyone else facing this issue?

other then topmba and google, does nyone know about any resources for further research...
