I'm really amazed to see your efforts but unfortunately whatever you say sounds just the opposite of what your name is.
The amount of research you have done is commendable but as its said that half knowledge is always dangerous.
So my friend just because you are innocent & negligent about the reality i'll advice not to misguide people who are really serious about their life and career.

Its unfortunate that people like you fail to understand the entire processing of the CTC and create a ruckus. Different companies have different ways of representing their CTC. So is their way of payout.
There are Fixed & Variable components in the CTC.
Of-course variable component is mostly performance based but it doesn't stops you from achieving it.
(And if you can't perform to the expected level in the industry then don't even think in your dreams that company will pay you ransom just like that.)

As you said there are around 50-60 happy students. So even you also could have been a part of that happy crowd only if you would have focused on the right areas to learn & improve yourself.
You should have utilized the opportunity at the right time.

And now there's no point of cribbing about it if you don't deserve it.
So be contended with what you have.

Any intelligent person with a sound mind will understand this basic thing that as the placement season comes to an end the average package also keeps on declining from high to low. This happens across all the institutes. So at any point of time it has to be in you to get through the best else you have to accept your fate.

Now to all those who don't know me I'm Vasu Rastogi from ISB&M; (2011-2013).
Its been more than two months since i'm associated with IIFL as I got an early joining.
For your kind information the package offered is 7 Lac CTC (Fixed + Variables).
Unlike my company there are other companies too which are paying well in this current scenario. And I know this because i'm in touch with my friends who are also working.
But I can't give an explanation for each & every company.

Anyways All the Best to all the people who'll be joining ISB&M; for the batch 2013-2015.
And believe me after passing from this institute you'll surely feel the difference in you once you are in the industry.

Yes.. you are definitely eligible for ISB&M.;
Its a 10 year old brand & the position it has made in the industry is commendable.
Also it has a good reputation in Pune and is a well known brand among the corporate.
As far as infrastructure is concerned it is also good.

For finance in particular you really need to good with mathematics & also well informed about the financial market and a decent knowledge about accounting.. All this should be done on a consistent basis else it will be tough to get through a good finance company.

Faculties are also good & supporting. At the end of the day its up-to the student how much he wants to learn & study.

Placement season is still on, so it will be early to comment on the exact figures. Also considering the current market scenario which is not as good as before, still our senior batch have fared well in terms of placements.
But to brief you about the packages, we have :
Companies like ING Vysya, TATA Motors, Asian Paints, etc. gave packages between 8-10.5 Lacs CTC. :clap:
And many companies gave packages ranging from 4.75-7 Lacs CTC.
(Its the real scenario.. :cheers:)

Considering you are a B.Tech you really have a very good chance to be placed in a good company. :o

And for the clashes of opinion..
I would like to say that in every walk of life you will find people who have a negative vibe around them, they are always frustrated, they can't think positive about anything, they always find something to grumble about, and many other such characteristics.

So, a piece of advice to you is that always be "BEWARE" of such peoples in life as they never do good for themselves & neither want good for others.

I would like to throw some light on the academic & other activities of the institute.
We have tri-semester system with Mid-Terms exams (every 45 days)
& End-Term exams (every 90 days).
Also there is a continuous evaluation of marks throughout the semester in the form of : assignments, case studies, quizzes & presentations.
There are different CELL's for different activities :
PAC (Placement Assistant Cell)
CRC (Corporate Relation Cell)
PDC (Professional Development Cell)
Alumni Cell
Sporties Cell
LSD (Lifestyle Development Cell)
All this together comprise the Student Council of the institute as it is completely managed by the students.

The cultural fest i.e. FORZA & CRESCENDO (the two flagship event our our institute) are also managed by the students.
So it acts as a platform to showcase as well as to develop managerial skills.

So, in all ISB&M; is a place for an all round development of the personality.

no no not at all..........but vasu u know many of them who get placed,either dnt join or do not access to be placed,either they r not fit or they r not knowing for the meaning of bussiness...........next u r correct that there should be a clear pic.but only few institutes in india gives these pic n not everyone...........so we should think for the best:drinking:

There should be a bit of transperancy of data though from their side.. It will not only help the students but also the institute..
Lets hope this thing will be done in near future..

why is it so that other campuses of ISB&M; till date havn't shown full placements..




hey dear,if they write 100 % placement,then u r happy with it.......in placements many students opt out of the final recruitment dur to preparation or family bussiness or may be other circumstances,so if they give u the best scene,u should not think they cant place 100 %....so change ur thoughts....................cheers

My dear friend its not about my happiness & i don't need to change my thoughts coz i know this thing very well dat sum ppl thmslf back out of placements due to sum reasons..
The thing is dat this thing have to be mentioned clearly dat out of a total this many hv been placed & rest hv opt out..
So it gives the clear picture..
