Does anyone know what was the last rank that converted core? all of a sudden till 662???

I have converted NMIMS Core today at rank 662. Also have IMT-G(IB).
Please, can you suggest me which one should I choose between the two ... Please, PM me your opinion as comparisons are not allowed on PG.

P.S. I have 2.5yrs of prior work-ex in IT ... please suggest which college would suit me better.

Can you please advice on what we could do for the next 15 days before we join the mba? esp for banking guys....

Also, any of you have the list of must-carry things to mumbai since most of us come out of mumbai...

So, anyone who applies can get into banking at 3/4th probability if u r shortlisted for gd/pi...something not quite great. this makes me really concerned with me joining banking at 700 odd rank in core. not sure, how good the class will be.

The last line of your post which you added a few min back shows your intentions but still will answer your query
The number of seats in BM is 60.
Last year the merit list went upto 1340 and there is no reason why it shouldn't go to that rank this year also.
I think this ends your journey with NM this year so form my side better luck for next year.

now what explanations do you want?? just read the date when this article was published. it clearly says its dec 6, 2009.. and it is evident to one and all that 2009 was one of the worst years in the b school placement history. even the IIMz werent immune to it, so colleges like NM are bound to get affected.

coming to that dharna issue, as per the best of my info, sectorals and core are on a level ground now, though there might be few companies who pick students from core bt not from sectorals. this is solely because sectorals have a very niche curriculum, while core is more diverse in nature.

things have improved tremendously post recession, and the 2011 placement report corroborates this fact.
