Dear Candidate,

This is in continuation of our letter offering you admission on PROVISIONAL BASIS to the Institutes two-year MBA (International Business) 2012-14 programme at its Kolkata Campus.
You are required to report at Kolkata Campus situated at J-1/14, 7th 9th floors, EP & GP Block, Sector-V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata 700 091 at 9.00 am on 2nd July 2012 (Monday) for registration. In order to enable to be present at IIFT Campus on 2nd July 2012, you may arrive in Kolkata a day or two in advance, if in case you are a student residing outside Kolkata. You need to contact Dr. R.P.Sharma, Programme Director, IIFT, Kolkata either on his Mobile No. 9903522627 or on e-mail id rpsharma@iift.ac.in and give him details of your arrival in Kolkata.

Please note the following with regard to your admission:

a) You are also required to pay a demand draft of Rs.5,000/- in favour of INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE payable at Kolkata as Security Deposit for Library Services. This is compulsory. THIS DD IS TO BE PAID AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION IN KOLKATA.

b) The Institute has arranged hostel accommodation for the students who have been offered admission at its Kolkata Campus. You are required to bring a Demand Draft of Rs.45,000/- in favour of INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE payable at KOLKATA at the time of joining the programme.

c) You need to have a Blazer (preferably blue or black) at the time of joining the Institute in Kolkata because a number of photographs of the students are required in the Blazer once the students report at the campus.

d) IIFTs Campus is fully Wi-fi. The students are advised to have their own laptops in order to meet effectively the teaching requirements at the Campus.

As some guys are not a having a clear picture of the selection process for IMT-G, i am posting the details of the same.Kindly go through it before going for PI:
The process comprised of the following stages:

1. Written Communication Test
   
2. Personal Interview
   

Written Communication Test

Duration - 30 minutes
After going through the Case Study, the students were supposed to write down the following:
1.Title for Case
2.Statement explaining the problem
3.Analysis
4.First alternative course of action: Discuss pros and cons
5.Second alternative course of action: Discuss pros and cons
6.Recommended course of action

Sample Case Study

- A and B are two female friends, who start a Boutique named XYZ. The Boutique turns out to be a huge success. After a year, B wants to move out as she says that she wants to pursue some other interest. B is an integral part of the business and she happens to know all the core requirements of the business. When A requests her to stay back, B says that she would stay back, if A transfers a majority of the stake to B. What course of action must A take?

Well in my view it will not really matter as they do not usually ask for the proofs for what you have written during the process. You will just have to clearly explain about your work to them if they ask you about it, which you have mentioned that you can. So don't worry on that front. It's just that if you get a confirmed admission, try and get atleast a mail from your boss that you worked there for so and so months for the so and so role form his official e-mail id. You will also require it for the CV verification during the placement process, otherwise the placecomm won't allow you to mention it.

I am a CA.
I have worked as a consultant for a CA firm for 3 months.I have mentioned that in my CV form.
For this i am not having any certificate or salary slip.
For the workex of 3 months, they are not going to assign any extra points but what shall i do.
I can explain them everything that i have done during that period and can also let them talk to my boss.
My boss cannot provide me the the experience certificate bcoz:
1)the tenure was only 3 months
2)he is saying that i was not a regular employee and hence he has not informed the institute which he was supposed to do before employing a CA.
Any suggestions.........please help:-(
