I am through PMM and i am joining .but as being the first batch of PMM what would u comment on Placements .......i have 1.5 yr of wrkex with S/W ......Please also comment on how will it improve my chances to get placed in singapore as we have last six months in singapore .......

I got an offer for Banking Management for DEC intake

But some of my seniors told me that there might be some placement issues as it is a odd batch..
Companies dont require MBA ppl all round the year as it incurrs a huge overhead in terms of salary ( unlike software engineers)

So I was bit apprehensive about joining this batch, as I would be considered as a fresher in BM (I've pursued my engg in IT n I'm working with Infosys, Pune for about 18months).
Can anybody pls help me in this regard..

Now other quesitions lile- how do we get the student visa? loan? will the univ people handle it? people from the earlier batches - any gyan on this?

Faculty cannot be exactly same at same time but yes it has lots of faculty common and they move between mumbai and dubai.....

can i rate spjain dubai more than IMI,TAPMi,NMIMS or IIT..??
do they diffenciate between individuls...in placements babes on nationality..??

while talking to a contact in SPJ Mumbai, he brought up a very good point:
Being in a top school gives you an opportunity to startup in a very good company. Whereas medium schools may not give you that opportunity. But it all depends on you where you take yourselves after that. My company hires BSC/BCOM/MCA/BTECH/MTECH from all over India. Once here, there is no distinction. No one calls you by the name of your institute! You be an IIM, SPJ,ABCD school, it does not matter once you are in a company. what a college can do is expose you to the best companies. Once you get a start it all depends on you how far adn how high you want to fly! So ther'es no point in comparing IIMs or IIFTs. Or even other universities.. What you need to see where you want to go and how easier wuold it be!

I also thought the worst part of it. You don;t get a job at all! What'd happen?
you'd be an MBA looking for a job. say you end up in your own company.. but you are equipped with a MBA degree You'd definetly get a better package than you'dve got by staying in the company for 1 year!

About 15 lksh investment, well.. it'd not take you a life time to regain this (just in case you consider this as a loss!) I personally feel it is golden investment.!!

p.s: Am not advertising here.. I saw some queries on how good the college is .. so just puittin my points across!

Dubai intake is going to flyon 4th jan mostly as course starts on 5th jan....

for singapore it starts on 6th jan i supose .........

I have applied in IT management field... and am largely banking on the fact that i will get at least a Rs. 8 lac p.a. package in India itself...

Seeing the above thread (and inputs from the site itself... which says avg. sal. for Indian placements is between 4.5 lacs to 5 lacs p.a.) ... i am currently rethinking whether to go ahead with the admission...

Dude it has been replied many times and u can check previous posts.as per my information the case of getting 3.5lakh was true but it was not fault of institute but of the student........
as per the placements u can check it out on spjain site....indian placements (as per my information) had been more than 6 lakhs and in my interview it was clarified by one of the faculty that minimum package accepted was 6.5 lakhs.....

other than that abut ur apprehension abut 8 lakhs p.a. yes if u have relevent wrkex more than a year u are well positioned . rest depends how u sell urself.

Btw i am through for PMM and i am flying .....dont judge ur MBA only for ur Placements but also the value addition it will make........:grab:
