A kind suggestion, Can we have this meet on the week end of first week of june? This would be beneficial for people in wait list(expecting an huge wait list movement) and it will also increase the turn around of people..

Although we would have loved to accommodate everyone, holding the meet at a later stage would have been difficult because most of our internships would have been complete meaning a lot of us would have gone back to our places. Also now we are at a stage when all the alumni have been invited for the event, the locations have been finalized with advance payments and thus moving the date would not be possible.
I am really sorry that we could not extend the date but I hope you can understand.

To the class of 2012.
As you might have read about the formal meet to be organized on the 29th
of may in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Chennai and 28th of may in Kolkata is for the final call getters i.e those who have confirmed offer letters from the institute and have paid the 85k dd.
Also please note that unlike the previous meets, this is going to be a 'FORMAL' meet which will also include our alumni. Thus all of you are expected to be dressed in full formals i.e suits (or atleast shirt, trousers and tie) for the meet.
Hope to see a good turnout for the meet. And do enjoy your free time while it lasts.

Has anybody inquired about loan? How to avail it?

This has been discussed in the previous posts.. Loans can be availed by you people on your own or else you could just walk in to the campus and get loans from SBIndia and SBIndore on the spot...

Well for starters, the exchange program will cost you and is not for free... I think you would have to shell out an extra 2-3 lakhs (depending on where you are going) so a lot of people are not interested in this... furthermore, your CGPA in the first semester plays an important role in the universities that you get and most of the people with a poor CG do not apply at all... And then others just do not wan tot go anywhere...

Hi dude... actually the IT Committee is responsible for the bulk laptop deals.. i don't think the other students are really sure of what discount is being offered...
we had lenovo R400 in the bulk deal the last time around... Apple Mac books were also there... the exact details of your deal will be mailed to you by the IT com. As far as the hP 12% discount is concerned, i am sure the IT com will consider that offer

I think accomodating 450 students in a year would be difficult as last year Indore's intaje was less than 300.

Seniors, have enough infrastructure being created .. i mean classes hostels etc.
ALso, wat would be impact of inc in batch size on placements .. which is the most imp query

there are a few new hostels coming up.. they will be done by the time u pplreach here... as far as other infrastructure is concerned, i think it has been discussed before in this thread...
we have a new sports complex coming up with new football grounds swimming pools and other stuff.. i think it'll be done in another 6 months or so...
what other infrastructure do u want to know abt???

AFAIK there would be no extension in joining date on those grounds.. I know things are really different htis time around but I wouldnt think they would extend the date

the meet on Sunday is an informal one... so it won't be a party or anything like that... just a gathering where you can clear your doubts...
as far as the formal meet is concerned, it will be on 29th of may, this will be attended by the alumni of the college, the present batch and the incoming batch and will be a formal affair. The venues for this are being finalized..

and regarding the invites for the informal meet, i think mayank shree jain will be doing that once he gets a list of your batchmates

I am summing up all the queries of last pages by all the puys and adding some of my own here. Please answer:

1) As all guys are asking that what this Offer Letter No. all about? I mean do we need to wait for hard copy before sending that DD? And typically in how many days, will we be going to receive it?
2) Fee will be around 10L. Now, what are the options available for a candidate to apply for a loan? One, he can take from outside. Second, somebody said that banks will be present in the campus. Do u mean, they will be present there at the time of registration? We may have to submit some bulk amount at the time of registration...right? So, do u mean to say that instantly we can get a loan there n then and handover the money to college?
Am I misinterpreting something?
3) What is the procedure to get the financial aid?
4) Are hostel rooms single-occupied or double? Is there any extra charge for single seater?
5) Will there be any acknowledgment after the college receives that 85K DD?
6) When is that informal meet?

1. wait for the hardcopy. How much time would depend on how far you are from Indore. I would say 1-2 weeks
2. You will instantly get your loans sanctioned over here. We will have representatives from a few banks on the day of admissions
4. Hostel rooms are single only.
5. As far as I remember, there was no acknowledgement as such. If anyone else has any info plz reply
6. Informal meet will be on 16th i.e Sunday at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai. The exact details on venues will be given in some time

Dear Seniors,

We have got the offer letters in email mentioning that the harcopies are being sent simultenously. There are two annexures(to be filled up and sent by May 25 along with the DD) enclosed with the email.

However the Letter of Acceptance asks for a "Admission Offer Letter Number". There is nothing of that sort mentioned in the email.

So should we wait for the hardcopies to arrive till we can send the demand draft and annexures or can we get the number from admissions office?
