Puys! Dont use the SBI Payment Gateway. Use Axis Bank Payment Gateway......... I think the problem lies in the SBI Gateway..........

Attention regarding Syndicate bank-
one person from syndicate(on the condition of anonymity) has told that there is a mistake in the procedure and if we all will write/use RTI then they will revise the list and we can get a call.
So friends what are your opinions?

In Syndicate bank shortlist, a total of 11,178 people were shortlisted .Still I couldnt make through.
Now its hard for me to imagine what criteria they used to shortlist becoz i have a decent academic background (>80%) with over 1 year of work-ex.

same is the case with me and i'm having 2 yrs of exp. in s/w !!!!!! even i checked with my other frnds also, they also havnt got any call....... i dont know whether or not they r considering engg guys !!!!!!! we can put the matter to PIO office and ask for the criteria for selection using RTI Act.......many students are investing a lot of money for applying for bank POs..... if they r nt considering engg stds then they cud hv made it clear in their advertisement.........

no tapas its not in terms of percentage, its in terms of marks only ... let me take u the example of IOB ... merit list will be calculated on the basis of written marks (200marks) plus interview marks (35marks). It is necessary here for general category candidate to get minimum of 17.50marks in the interview. Now, if a person had scored 140marks in the written and just passing marks i.e.17.50marks in the interview, he/she will be surely get selected without any doubt if the cutoff for final merit list is above 157. Hope it makes it clear now.

Thats why every successful bank po says ... agar written exam achha ho jaye toh samajh lo tumne 75% fight jeet li hai.

kartik007, it was absolutely clear even before u explained it to me.... neways....... i just wanted to inform that one of the candidates told me that the wrtn marks will be converted to 65%......

exactly, but one candidate told me that the wrtn marks will be converted to 65% and the intrvw will b having 35% weightage, though it's not wrtn in the advertisement......

I read your interview experience and am getting depressed as what they think about techies !!!! i have done MCA with 2 yrs working exp and to become PO in PSB is my only childhood dream that's why i am preparing for it. But now i am getting the belief that clear written depend sheerly on hardwork but interview depend only on luck ?? One of my frnd has give "SBI-specialist" exam in 2007 without preparation (but other things help her a lot like recently in 2007 she got placement in a network company and in objective computer awareness all ques come from network ... and that yr no gk and descriptive paper come and so she easily selected and she was the only one to be selected from UP and in interview they ask only mobile computing and after 5-6 questions interviewrs give her compliment "don't ask more questions as she will tell the whole night." now she is enjoying her life in mumbai with 4.7 pack ... and the payscale is due to revision around 17.5%)

Is PO or any PSB jb is relating to luck only and not hard work ?

I am still holding my all hopes after many failures .

Pls dont b dishrtnd, as many of my friends r wrkng as a PO rite nw n they r also frm s/w bkgrnd......and in any interview luck plays a major role..... not particularly in PSBs...... so all the best!!!!! ur dream will b fulfilled soon........

I'm sharing my IOB interview exp on 29/06/2009 -

My reporting time was 11 am and my intrvw started at 3:15 pm........ I was the first person after lunch....

there was 4 panel members.....

Questions asked -
1. Why r u leaving ur company?????
2. Did u appear in CAT???? %le ? got admsn in which colg? why banking?
3. 251 X 62 = ? wthn 10 secs.. it was the easiest one given by them amng all the candidates.....generly 345*365, 457*457 etc.....
4. Historical importance of Plassey, Panipath and kuruksehtra....
5. Regrdng the talk of divestment in banking.... view.....
6. what is the drawback of PSU banks compared to pvt sector banks........
7. Still why people r preferring PSU banks to pvt banks......
8. wud u do sumthng for bettering the services of PSU banks ... wht qualities sud a PO possess?????
9. hw wud u do that......
10. hw many bank-po exams and intrvw u hv appeard?
11. why u dint clear the other exams..... were IOB qus very easy???????

my intrvw took more than 20 mins as told by the fellow cadidates......

I duuno wht is goin to happen as i was not asked any banking terms and any economy reltd qus.....

Now I wanna give a brief description of an intrvew of a 2 yrs+ exprncd TCS guy ---

they asked him why banking from s/w - common qus.....
he talked abt CBS and server reltd probs and he can assist in those probs...
then they told if a person can switch on/off the system then it's enuf for a PO...... so ur edu backgrnd wont help in bank?????
so puys pls be prepared for that type of questions and i apprehend abt their thought for the techies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

okk...that means my bank challan got misplaced somewhere ... actually i got my admit card but do not have challan with me ... is it very much necessary ... what do u think ... will they not allow me to appear for the exam ???

They will allow u..... no need to worry... they will take one undertaking from u..... but it'll take around 2 mins from u during the exam......

Apart from the postnig issue, d main advntg is - officers of insurnc sector get huge amt of incentive as a % ge of the insurnc made...... And the job as a PO demands more responsibility and a bit tensional.......
