Has it ever occurred to you people that the reason why some placements and admissions committee students get placed first is because they are very good students in the first place? Probably, that was the reason why they made it to those committees.

well its better than last year is the only answer i got hear from all seniors....n in site they say 8lpa is the average if 8lpa is the average then mean wud be somewhat less than that say 6.5-7lpa(its completely my perception) highest salary was 15lpa for HR so u can easily guess the placement scenario...goodluck!!

@Seniors:This thread is so dull....n we feel ashamed when people see our signature saying SCMHRD convert and they do have so many queries which shud have been resolved by now...I m a bit skeptical guys as FB community there is so much of things happening but in PG there is nuthing...well in PG the motto is "WE HELP EVENIF WE MOVE".I personally feel this thread could have been of much use when info were given to the needy at the rite time..though I have converted SCMHRD still m making a call from people who are waitlisted and dont even know whether their names features in the waitlist or not...went to asst registrar too but she said its a part of college policy so we cannot disclose....please throw some light here in this thread too apart from being active in FB

Sorry to inform you that your perception is not correct.(Sorry I can't discuss about the figure right now) But it is much better than the 2008-09 placement figures. A detailed report will be released shortly which will have the exact amount.

And yes about being active in this thread, I apologize if there hasn't been enough activity here. That can be due to the fact that all seniors have started their summer internships which requires you to work full time leaving very little time to be active in forums. Irrespective of that if you individually approach some seniors I am sure that they will be more than happy to help you out.

And if there are more seniors in FB then why not ask your queries there? I can't understand.

No, there is no such thing as donations. Certain seats are filled by management quota students but the institute doesn't have any say in that. The entire process is handled by the Symbiosis International University.

Ahh! No updates for a long time. Doesn't mean nothing is going on at SCMHRD! Its actually quite the opposite.

SCMHRD is a place where something or the other keeps happening. Be it guest lectures, Marketing Symposium, Six Sigma Awards, E-Week or the most enviable B-School fest Neev.

Right now, all the seniors are out for their summer internships and hence there is nothing to report. We will make an effort to keep this place updated in future.

Be prepared and ready. As soon as you join college, things like Out Bound Learning (a 2 day camp), Milaap (meeting with the seniors) and Aarambh (cultural festival) are going to hit you. There will also be committee selections for the Admissions Committee, Placements Committee, Neev Committee etc.

Sorry to bother you all about this. I have converted the SIBM Bang call and won't be joining the institute.

Right from the beginning of the process certain people have expressed concern at the way things are being handled by the institute but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because this was their first selection process. My posts in this forum highlighted the same.

However, today morning when I open my mailbox I find it totally flooded by mails from or about SIBM-Bang. I had provided my mail id to the institute expecting some degree of professionalism but this act of desperation was really uncalled for. Extremely disappointed. Surely SIBM is not about all this.

Selected! Happy about it but sad that I won't be joining. I will be joining SCMHRD instead.

Congrats to people who are selected, and best of luck to aspirants in the waiting list. And people who haven't made the cut, don't worry god wants you to be somewhere else.

Well lets give them the benefit of the doubt. This is the first time they are conducting something like this and the SIU's change in snap scores didn't exactly help the process.

The only reason for the delay can be that the results are not ready. Are you sure you want to get the results which have been calculated haphazardly?

Lets wait for them and give them time. But yes, SIBM Bangalore should have officially declared a date and should have stuck to it. I am sure they are going to learn from this year and make it better next year.

nope it does not..the way SIBM-B had their marking scheme for work-ex was as follows:
0-12 months : 0 marks
12-30 months: 5 marks
30 and above : 10 marks

Now the above marks are the maximum marks that one can get and would depend on your performance based on questions asked on work-ex. In any case since max marks for experience is 0 so it would not matter even if they ask questions on work ex as you will in any case get 0.

Ya that's true but still it may impress the interviewers to some extent and good answers for job ex may contribute in the process improving the general impression of the candidate which may influence the marks he is going to get exclusively for the PI. I know its far fetched but still interrelated.

i had call for GD/PI from SCMHRD, but couldn't convert for unknown reasons.
SNAP Score is 83.5
what are my chances of getting into SCMHRD without paying any donation?

If you want to take admission through the management quota then you need to contact SIU because SCMHRD has not involvement in the selection of candidates.

And you should also check the total amount required and make sure that you are willing to invest that amount of money for a MBA degree.
