It is certainly a school which people know about and has top faculty who are extremely extremely distinguished. UB also IS internationally recognized because they have tons of international connections and their PhD students are noted as being top scholars (not sure about MBAs though in general)....

How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie- while very old - it's a pretty classic book and extremely readable. You can pick it up on the side of the road all over India.
