We at SIESCOMS organised a simulation GD PI in association with e-Square MC.. d first session jump started yesterday on 17th Feb, 09... Thanks to all the aspirants for the over-whelming response :smile:
Here's a sneak peek in to the seminar!!At SIESCOMS, we believe in a different concept of GI- Group Interview :detective:& the interaction gave some snapshots in the same, Kudos to all the aspirants for all volunteering for the GDs & GIs :smile:
We started with Mandar & Ashutosh giving insights to aspirants about...
* how they should conduct themselves in the GD

* how to be assertive without being aggressive- ppl, this is a very important point, u need to make sure that u've driven ur point effectively without being rude or aggressive abt it!!

* also explained were the techniques to open ur account in the GD.. it is very important that u dont sound like u've inturuptted or just jumped into the GD without having a logical point to contribute...

* u all shd also keep in mind that in a GD, weightage is given to ur content & hw u present ur point to the members & NOT ON HOW MANY times you speak in it.

* one common mistake all the aspirants make is looking to the panelists while speaking & not addressing the group, guys n gals, plz remember IT IS A GROUP DISCUSSION SO DISCUSS LOOKING AT THE GROUP...
An ideal behavior and the dress code for the PI was also highlighted in the seminar!
Hope it was a value addition to all of you & would help you perform well, ALL THE BEST!

I would like to share my PI experience here...
The interviewer had asked me..
1.Tell me something about urself :hurray:
2. then they asked abt my native place n special features of it [dont worry, ther's no region specific selection ;)... these are the quetions asked to divert your attention from ''prepared'' answers!
once that was done... they asked about d suburb i stay in... & then relating all of it to my work experience..
so guys be ready for a twisted tale too...:bigups:

i am finding trouble in filling the form for siescoms...here are the difficulties i am facing:

1. xth and xiith passing certificates attested copies? what are they?

2.provisional degree..i am a passout this year and i have not got provisional degree as yet. so what should i write N.A or NO.

3. I would be out of station from 22-27 and will return to delhi only on 28 only as the process is on 27-28. so other than the admit caard contained in the application kit ,will we get an intimation through email or sms..or should i fill my relatives adress in local adress for correspondence..please help urgent as i have to courier it today

here's d answer to ur queries..

1. u need to take a photocopy of ur 10th n 12th marksheets n paaing certificates n get them attested from the nearest individual or corporation authorised for the same...

2. provisional degree certificate is something u ll get from the institution u ve passed from which serves as a passing certificate on a temporaty basis before u get the original n final one, as u ve passe out this yr... u can ask ur college/ university to provide u with it so u can file for admissions in the mean time.

3. u can send across a self-addressed envelope or a seperate application letter stating that u'd like to receive d admit card to the specified address where ur relative can take it's authority...

then this is a gr8 chance to listen to experts in this arena...
there have been times wer quality students have lost d game coz of their lack of communication skills n tactics in the GD n PI session....

u shd know how to potray urself ideally in fronts of panel as well as ur group n emerge as leader and an ideal manager..

ppls... this is an answer to d queries i ve been getting orally...

note that you do not have to solve the case study in writing, it ll be an oral discussion n dats it... your ideal GD is one wer u dont end up arguing and discuss like managers do...

kp in mind dat u r supposed to make ur point clear by supporting it wid content [ a decent level of GK does d deal ] n also gv a chance to others or rather empower the ones who do not speak much in a subtle manner...

also....note that there is no essay in the aptitude test, the level of difficulty shall be close to dat of MH-CET
