Long ago in ancient Greece, an oracle prophesised that one who can free King Gordias cart from its bounds will go on to rule the whole of Asia. Many tried to untie the cornel bark knot on the cart but they all failed. It was Alexander the great who simply cut the Gordian Knot with his sword as soon as he saw it and later went on to fulfil the prophecy.

Unfair, did you say?? Well, a student of Aristotle, Alexander realized that the knot couldnt simply be untied by manipulating the rope! It was a trick all along!! All it took was the realization.

Coming to the queries about waitlist movement, last yr, waitlist moved till #99. Don't go by last yr's figures coz the number of final calls given might differ.

I guess, the exact number of converts can be known by calling the admission office of IIMI. A list has been put up in front of the office. People from Indore might as well visit the place.

I had a little doubt about the Interview form..

I had won the 3rd prize at a national level paper presentation competition. It wasn't a very great competition really so I am not sure if I should mention this in the form. In case I do, I was wondering where I should mention this in the form...

Under:

1 - Scholastic achievements.... or
2 - Extra curricular achievements

It would come under Scholastic achievements since it concerns your education..

N don't worry bout the event being a small one. It doesn't depend on the size of the event but on the amount of effort u put for the same and the learning u had from it.

A few questions related to the interview form:

1) Does filling by pencil matter? Filld it earlier using pencil to allow me to make changes later on. However, noticed now that using an eraser makes it look untidy. Paper surface also kind of comes off by use of an eraser.

2) Have filled in total marks and percentages in 10th and 12th using all the subjects. (even though including Physical education as 6th subject makes my percentage go down by almost 4% points in 12th) 86.0% --> 82.5%
So, question is... should I or should I not include PE?

3) Achievements and extra curricular (Section (a) and (g) on form) are to be listed or put in paragraphs? I've currently listed them down. Should I rewrite them in paras?

As the date for GD/PI comes nearer, I seem to be getting more doubtful about decisions I had made earlier. So, checking here if I need to make changes.

Interview in 2 days, so quick reply would be very helpful.

Hi Sambit! I think u shd fill with pens. That form will be used after ur admissions as well. So, better to be on the safe side from now only.

About ur 2nd question, I am not quite aware about the rules of ur board. I hope someone from your board will guide u through this.

About the last question, its perfectly fine to keep it in listed form. You can give bullet points in front of each of the achievements.

Hi friends. I requested for change in gdpi schedule as my indore and kozhikode interview were clashing(both afternoon batch).
Now They have given me morning batch. . Is it feasible to attend two interviews at the same day? Will it be possible?

In the same city, normally u wont see 2 IIM's conducting the GDPI process on the same day.

Anyway, in ur case, assuming that the venue is same for both the interviews, ya u can attend both on the same day. Whatever be the case, u would finish the first one before the second one begins.
