I'm interested in starting a toastmasters club in mumbai... thought i'll check if any1 on this forum would be interested....

A Toastmasters club is basically a communication and leadership forum ... a "learn-by-doing" workshop in which men and women hone their skills in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. A typical club has 20 to 30 members, who meet weekly to learn and practice public speaking and presentation techniques. There is no instructor in a Toastmasters club. Instead, members evaluate one another's oral presentations.

Toastmasters International, 80 year old non-profit organisation has about 211,000 members in more than 10,500 clubs meeting in approximately 90 countries.

In India there are about 50 clubs, some run inhouse in companies such as Infy, CISCO, Dell, TCS and institutes such as IIMB, ISB and a few open-to-all clubs predominantly located in Bangalore... Mumbai as far as i know does not hv a open-to-all club...
