As far as I know Cranfield does not really reveal the details of how a candidate is evaluated, or what would be considered as experience, I would say it all depends on how you present it. Regarding your feeling, Cranfield has a kind of basic eligibility indicator in the website (I forgot the name now), you can check that.

From what you have stated 6.5 years is not a low experience, every one of these numerically measurable aspects have a minimum level, once they are met, they dont add any more value in experience being 7 or 15 years.

That could be an opinion, but at-least statistics in Cranfield tell a different story, moreover if you look at MBA as the expert training in a particular field, which is mostly done in an M.Sc here in Cranfield, then your point looks more acceptable.

In my eyes UK has many advantages (As an MBA destination- from an Indian perspective)

The courses here are mostly 1 year making it a short break from your working career

The course and related activities are carried out in English, its easier for most people to understand

The post study work visa and other work permit related stuff used to be much more favourable than what it is now, but hopes still continue that for people getting an MBA from a reputed school might continue to enjoy these benefits.

Going by the current age group of the batch and the focus of Cranfield, I would say it would fit people with about 6+ years of experience more than younger students. Remember Cranfield focuses on personal development and does not focus on making specialists (even though there are very good elective modules).

I just wrote about this in another thread a few hours back, if I have to summarise, I am very happy with the way placements have gone till now for the previous batch. There are a few people who have not yet got jobs, as you can imagine there are always people with a high focus on what they want. I think those people who have not yet got any jobs are the real winners, because they have learnt the importance of finding THE JOB not A JOB, which I think is very important.

Just a quick remark, placement in Cranfield (and as I understand in almost every MBA school outside India) is not entirely within the college, the career services here tell you what a job role needs and works with you in the application, and thats the maximum they will do, interviews dont happen in campus and mass recruitment is completely ruled out, so I think these cannot be directly compared with the Indian system.

Placement statistics, not something I follow a lot, but from what I can see, except for a few people who are choosy about the role they want to take up, people have got placed from the previous year's batch, I cannot say anything more because I dont know :).

Relocating back to India, I really dont think the Indian Network would be so large that you will be able to rely on them for an option, however Cranfield has a strong network throughout the world, so UK is not the end of the world. Post MBA coming back to India should almost (75% atleast) be dependent on your goals and aspirations.

The second question is very tricky to say the least, well for the records Cranfield is ranked 15th in the world in Economist, where LBS is ranked 17th, frankly I would say one should give the least importance to rankings, and try to get an insight into whats happening in the place... I am on the other side, I did the same thing (looking into rankings), so cant really say its wrong, but I think that would be a great strategy, thank god I did not get admitted in any better ranked school (including ISB) because for me, cranfield is a better place than many such schools, but for reasons entirely restricted to me.

I wouldnt call it a co-signing, however there was an arrangement with HSBC which ensured that most of the applicants if not all get a loan from UK, however things have changed and HSBC is said to be reconsidering their decision and might not offer a loan from next year.

I am not sure if the school would find another bank, we might have to wait for some more time for clarity to emerge on this account.

Many questions which you have asked have subjective answers, however Cranfield recommends people who want to become specialists in an area and with relatively low experience (less than 5 years) to choose the M.Sc and people with relatively higher experience and people who want to become managers to choose MBA. Now you probably may want to reasses your situation based on the above.

As far as admission is concerned, I think with your profile (such a high GMAT and experience profile - edited here... as far as these two criteria are concerned, there are other factors which come into play as well) I think admissions will not be a matter of concern at all. Program costs vary year to year and whatever is available in the website (if any) might not be the most reliable, however the link to the fees at cranfield is
