As promised i am chipping in some more.... This time regardg essays.... plz excuse if there is a spell mistake...
* Essay : duration would be 45 minutes and could directly follow after the objective test.. The essay would most probably carry 25 marks...
* the essay test will be on a full scape sheet... Of course by default we need to concentrate on CONTENT but we shd ensure that while writg the essay we fill in 3 1/2 sides of the full scape atleast....
* The essay shd firsyt introduce the topic, then 2-3 paras on the explanation and the end para of conclusion....
* never take a stand in the begining... If the topic is SHD Prostitution be legalised? Never start the topic by sayg yes/ no it shd be... buld up on the topic and then in the end talk abt ur stand on the topic.,..
* the essay also shd be simple and neatly written.... No Bombastic words to be used...Nice and Simple...
* take care of spell mistakes, grammer errors...
* try and underline all the imp facts...shd underline ard 5 % of the total essay content....

hey padfoot... I have started wrtg essays....Ya, its like going back to ur school days but the real prob is structuring the essay...But I guess it comes with practise...

Also I believe... whether one goes to Prof. Kamat or not its the persons hard work, right attitude nd approach and his belief that will get him/ her thrgh TISS....

hope prep for everyone in full flow... Me too applying for TISS PM & IR... would like to thank padfoot for going such a wonderful job.... Was a silent spectator for a long time decided its time to speak....
I stay at Mumbai and I am a student of Mr. Kamat...I feel he is too hyped on this forum....

Regarding the written test which is going to be an objective one ....
* could have 5 options nd mostly the last one being None of these,
* would probably be a jumbled test like CET
*Would cover elementary concepts of Maths as well DI, So get ur R.S. Agarwal out!!!!!
* Could have Visual Reasoning/ LR/ QA/ VA/RC/NVR/DI/ G.K as its sections,
* Rc would be small psgs with some questions to answer...
* there would / would not be a sectional cut-off,
*each right answer would carry 1 mark nd a wrong answer would fetch us -1..Its 100%negative paper...
* ratings for each section:
QA/DI: Easy,
VA/GK: Toughest,
LR/VR/NVR: Moderate...
All the above said things are his own experiences when he gave the entrance exam for TISS...
hope this helps and brings in some clarity regarding the objective test...Will definetly chip in more....

This is Shilpa here...All all I can say abt the TIME talent search exam is that its just a marketing gimmick by TIME...I also appeared for this test in Mumbai...It was a hundred marks test and the highest scorer was 72 and he got a 100% discount....and the others around his score( around 65-72) were given a 20 % discount... I landed up with a score of 52 and a 5% discount.

I have joined TIME and very frankly bharat plz dont join a course just for the discount.....( Its my view..plz dont mind) The classes have started and the class rocks!!!! It think its worth the fees..

Go ahead and take the test Bharat without thinking of a discount.....

By the way I have joined TIME in Mumbai for my CAT prep after all the reviews I got....

Already done up with 2 classes and the class rocks!!!!!

I had joined IMS last year.....messed up the complete thing yaar.....

This time totally geared up for CAT.....Also a lot of motivational stuff on PG to pep U up when things not going ur way....

Didnt make it to Welingkar...Waitlisted...No hopes....:whatthat:

hey guys..Its 9.05 but No results....These Welingkar pple will make me have an heart attack.... Cant take this anymore as Welingkar is the only call I have got.along with TISS which is still to happen......So in case I make it in Welg I surely pick it up...
