There might be very few with work experience.. And yes.. I just wanted to initiate something and gather people before the entrance.. That is all.. I never had plans to apply for TANCET.. One of my friends(unanoche9 and me wanted to initiate for this year... He did apply for TANCET but didn't appear.. He has joined ITM Navi Mumbai and his classes have started.. And I didn't apply for the exam.. Thought of initiating gathering and helping people out.. But people somehow find social networking sites better to interact on these topics.. I feel PG is much simpler and meant for discussions like these.. The reason for inactivity is people being diverted to Facebook.. They don't feel comfy here for some reason..

So why second thoughts about IIBS? I didn't find any posts on IIBS here..

Almost 5.8 inclusive of hostel and mess fee.. Study Tours - I'm not really sure.. Laptops not provided.. I would suggest you to get your own laptop whichever college you go to.. 80% of people aren't satisfied with the laptops provided in colleges.. They end up getting something that they didn't even think about, poor/flimsy build..

Yes.. They will.. You can go.. 6 days working though.. All Colleges work 6 days mostly.. XAT eh.. Nice.. How much did you score?

nd they having hig.pkg as14l/annum(overseas) nd avg around 4.5l(India) one of my frend studying der nd said its promising nd this time the highest pkg might touch 16l/annum ...the oly drawbcak i see is tat they r providing a degree from Bharathiyar univ so dono abt the credibility of degree abroad...but when compared to a fee of 3.5l for the entire course includes lap nd intl.tour the placements are really decent....
I wanna know ll JSB provide degree from anna univ or wat?

Nope.. JSB is Affiliated To Bharathiar University.. They've completed 10 years now.. They might become Autonomous from this 2011 batch.. So 2013 might get a degree from JSB themselves.. And if it becomes autonomous then the intake will be 180 students.. So you applied for IIBS using CAT Scores?

Among the colleges i got, Amrita School Of Business & Rajagiri are the best.. But ASB gave me a seat in their cochin campus and on enquiry i found that faculty for cochin campus were not permanent and the infra there is not good.. Seniors of ASB asked me not to opt for Cochin.. And Rajagiri is also very promising.. But their PGDM is not affiliated with AIU.. As in if it is not, you can't do any further studies with your PGDM as the base.. they are workin on the AIU affiliation.. If all goes well i would like to pursue higher studies post MBA while working.. So rajagiri was ruled out... People at Janson's were open about the situation and as i've mentioned about the packages in the previous threads, the highest was a variable package offered by Canara Bank..5.4-7.2 ... The average package was close to 4 this time.. And all 2011 pass outs were placed.. Some of the campus drives were common/collaborative between jansons and psg conducted at psg.. And jansons was able to bring in a handful of companies for placements.. I'm sure about all this because a close friend of mine is a 2011 passout and also happened to be one of the 2 students in the placement committee/team that the college has.. So i didn't go blindly with what they told me at the PI.. but they were honest with me in the PI.. And any University MBA degree is accepted by AIU.. So opting for jansons... and NDIM i think is too costly for what they offer..

I didn't write TANCET.. Only MAT & CAT.. Yes.. Opting for Jansons..

& Syed : Just google latest happenings in all sectors.. It could be politics or business, whatever.. They might even ask about TN Elections or might even go as early as 2G Scam and current status of 2G Scam.. Oil Prices.. Situation in Libya, Egypt.. Few of the next biggies in market and business(FMCG, Cloud Computing).. Sell yourself well in the PI.. Make the most of the 5-10 minutes of the interview.. Don't act smart/lie.. They'll spot easily.. Justify statements if necessary..

GD PI is the same everywhere.. Basic current affair scenarios for GD.. Go through important happenings in the last 6 months.. Financial Boom/Loss.. The next big thing in the markets... Some Business News.. PI might be based on your Resume or the things that you filled up in your application form and questions like why MBA, Justify? Why MBA after this UG? Career Goals? What do you know about MBA? (Case Study/Seminars/Guest Lectures, Blah Blah Blah) ... Why MBA in SSN? This was the same thing that i was asked in all the GD PIs i attended.. I attended about 6-8.. All the same.. Nothing to be worried about.. Initiate the GD, steer it and close well.. If GD becomes a fish market, you try to bring it to control.. I guess you know all the gd stuff i mentioned..
