Well fact of the matter is that now only 2 points seperate guners & blues. And I bet soon it will be chelsea at the top of the table. So man u & arse cud sit wid FA & solve their problem while chelsea wud soon be sitting at the top of EPL.

Long Long time, just happened to be at PG & know what just chanced upon this thread. One of my favourite, had gr8 discussions here when i had time. We didn't reach ne conclusions but then i never thought it was important as long as one can convey his point of view to an intelectual audience & can read about a different point of view.

But somhow I usually fil to buy this argument that Ayn rand over glamourised capitalism & therefore she is no good. look every author over-emphasize his or her opinion. Read Tolstoy or Orwell or whoever u choose to. People write coz they feel strongly about somehing & therefore it's natural that their writings would present a particular view more strongly. So go ahead , disagree with rand but don't pick her for kind of criticism she doesn't deserve.

Anyway ........ hope to see some good discussion here.

Hi guys,

It's after long time that I came again on this board ( long coz had little time left after all the quizzes,case prep etc.) What suhas & gaurav has said is so true of life at IIMA but believe me it's not before long that you start enjoying this grind. In past few days I've seen myself move to a phase where I no more crib about the pressure. I've started getting a sense of enjoyment from the whole process. Life still is the same, wondering about HR practices at Tatas, balance Sheets of symphony Theatre & line balancing in national Cranberry blah blah but you find that you have started becoming a part of the process. Now you don't tell ur friends that u get only 4 hours of sleep. U stop telling ur peers that because of all the pressure u r not able realize the full learning potential. U stop all this.
These first three weeks were like a shock effect period. But as soon as you get out of the shock, u find that life , iima style, is beautiful in its unique way.
To be frank it dawns on u that IIMA is not a B-School it's a life style.
I'm not sure if i am too arbit. But truth is guyz life @ IIMA is unique. It's tough but then u'll soon grow to like it.
So come experience the IIMA yourself ...........

Even I find star movies better. They have more variety. Though at the ned of day all that matters is the movie.... for i get all movie channels & BT as well to get the tv listing

well guys, i just want to suggest one thing...though i'm not sure how much weight it will hold....but while practice is important ....too much of it is useless......

Take just one test a day....analyse it....see where u made the mistake....or kinda questions u generally leave......or kinda questions u get quickly.

Remember....just solving questions is of not much use.....u must know how u solve them....rather than taking two tests a day & comparing ur scores.....& feeling glee or sad.....i wud suggest a lot of after test work on
your tests.

It helps you concentrate on your weak points.
A test every sunday in actual conditions is helpful...u can use the rest of the week to correct what went wrong in the previous one. Taking too may tests too early in ur preperations take the focus away from skill building......that's what I think
