now those of you who have made it to amity general mba.. i have a few questions... i wud like to hear your case study/pi experiences please..
one more thing, i have deposited the form on 25th of april, by what date i shud expect their cal...? ty in advance !!

my case study was on some company which had started a club to give certain incentives to its employees and we had to discuss on the positives of these intensive on the basis of some facts and figures given in the case study, it was of around 250 words and we were given 15min for discussion.
PI there were 3 panel member and the questions were-why mba,who is your role model,why amity,why should we select you, favorite subject(few question related to this),what are your hobbies(detailed discussion on this)...some panelist were focusing more on gk and academics...........you dont need to answer everything correctly just be confident and express clarity of thought, you will sail through:)........keep a check on the micro site they will provide you the earlist date possible:)

i had a question for seniors please reply is amity lucknow students are permitted to sit in campus placement drive at amity noida because majority of company vists amity noida for reqruitment because recently i had taken admission in MBA-General course of amity business school lucknow ....... seniors please reply .....beacause as far as i know b.tech students of amity lucknow are gone to amity noida for reqruitment process .............please reply.....

im not a senior but in mba course Lucknow students cannot cannot sit in the noida campus..this i got to known from a senior i talked to at amity..

My Verdict:-
A university should have a big and marvelous entrance gate which adds as a salient feature to the beauty of it but this feature is missing from Noida campus. Two black gates which in no way give image of good infrastructure. The whole campus looks like different school buildings styled and situated in a good fixed pattern. Infrastructure as a whole, can be regarded as very good but not excellent. Though the areas underneath the roofs of different blocks (Business, Engineering etc.) has pretty good infrastructure. Classes or lecture halls, as seen by me from the entrance door mirror, looks excellent.
Amity is considered pretty good and reputed among the private universities. Day-by-day, its reputation is increasing and the quality as well. Rest all depends on you as you will be the only one who will be responsible for a win or a defeat. Last but not the least, would like to mark that Amity is very good, GO FOR IT & WORK HARD to achieve your goals.

amity has around 6 gates,gate no.1 which is the main entrance to the university is pretty huge and gives a good impression,you must have entered from some other gates which are painted black.:)

no! you dont have to pay anything apart from what is mentioned in your offer letter,and amity doesn't provide any books.....yes we will have to wear formals everyday........placements for finance are not going good at any bschool specially tier 2 schools due to market slowdown but avg at amity is arnd 4.25 for finance...:)

Firstly , congrats for getting in ! Trust me , itz not easy to get into the core program of Kharghar campus.

Coming to ur query of why placements are not 100% dis year...roughly , 65 % of the entire PGDM batch has been placed so far (About 75% marketing guys have been placed at an average of around 4.5-5 lakhs).

Placement season stretches upto June end.So far , roughly 150 odd companies have come and a further 125-150 will be cuming.
Placements are not at all a concern for Marketing students , be assured abt dat. Just concentrate on learning the marketing basics nd u'll sail thru.

i need to confirm something, and i'd really appreciate the help.
Its like in january when i filled the form for amity, i opted for three continent course MBA(3CM),
it was only after my MAT in feb, i collected more information regarding the same and wanted to change it to MBA CORE(for multiple reasons)
i have all the eligibility conditions intact such as
MAT score 90.12%tile
tenth 82.6
10+2 81.7
grad 80 (pursuing)

i am had given my GD PI , and it went terrific.
but they told me you can only forward a request to change once you get selected.
It turns out that i did get selected (but for 3CM)
i went to the noida campus again yesterday and the counselor told me that conversion is not so easy and usually declined.
so to be on the safe side i have filled another form (fresh) for MBA gen.
of course i'll have to appear for another GDPI that too in may,
that is if i don't get transferred.
MY ACTUAL QUESTION is if i take up MBA(3 continent) from AMITY noida, is it worth it ?
ROI is any good ?
it would cost me almost double of a regular MBA.
and placements ?

It was important for me to explain my situation, bear the long msg please.

to be frank mba(3C) is not at all worth it,placements are not good and moreover it is expensive so roi is pathetic....avoid it if you can and try for mba general as it is the flagship program......i would like to add that if you are interested in international business then you can think of mba(ib) it will be better than mba(3C) but try for mba general:)

please don't get deceived by highest packages of any institute or course,it is possible that the student who got the the highest package for mba ib performed better than the student who got the highest for mba m&s;,he had better skills therefore got paid more!.therefore as my dear friend aseem has inquired it depends on what you put in and your skills. for eg-in 2010 a company came to ABS with a package of 14lac but didnot found any worthy candidate(this was for mba gen).all the best:)

P.S-dont known about mba-ib,but highest package for mba m&s; for 2010 was 7 lac.
