        for the first part
        as the expression in denominator needs to minimum for the functions maximum value ... so at x = -b/2a the min value of x^2-3x+2 will exist, that will be x=3/2
        ==> on subsituting we shall get f(3/2) = -4

        2 good questions

        find the maximum value of the function 1 / (x^2-3x +2)

        find the minimum value of the function f(x) = log2 (x^2 -2x +5)

        p.s - 2 is the base of log and not log 2.

          the options are
          1. 2_/61
          2. 4_/61
          3. 24
          4. 52
          5. 60
          and the answer given is 2nd option...are u sure that your solution is correct ?

          Horizontal Distance covered by ant = 2*2(pi)*r = 2*2*(pi)*6/(pi) = 24
          Vertical Distance covered by the ant = 20

          Hence, total distance = _/(20^2 + 24^2) = 24_/2

            Pls solve this question--
