for selection imagine there are seven boys B1 to B7
now no. of boys before B1 say A1 >=0
No. of boys between B1 and B2 say A2 >=1
No. of boys between B2 and B3 say A3 >=1

No. of boys after B7 say A8 >=0
now A1 + A2...+A8 = 10
let a2 +1 = A2 hence a2 >=0
this way
we get
A1 + a2 + a3 + a4+a5+a6+a7+A8 = 10 - 6 = 4
hence total sol = 4 + 8-1C8-1 = 11C7 = 11C4 = 330, option 4????

i had an accident in class 10th just before the boards . so had to use a writer and got just 68 % in 10th boards my school ppl told me not to waste an yr as they will give me science as they knew i was good... i got 78% in 12th and 75 in my engineering but i will never get an iim call with this marks in 10th.. i got a 97.5% in my 2nd attempt at cat this yr.. want to do an mba from good b school and i know i have the talent too but most b schools these days look at profile.. even nmims rejected me in the interview even after getting 99%tile and later told me that u hv <70 in 10th so u got 0 for acads..
i am feeling so low as all my frnds got into good b schools and am still struggling just because i have an average acads and now i can't change it too .. donno if i wil ever be able to make it to a good b school...

hmmm..well this is a geniune case. I guess you should try for FMS as thats purely on your written performance and how you do in your GD/PI. But you really dont need to feel low as there are a lot of things that you can do. All you need to do is some research on B-schools and their selection procedure. I sure you'll find a lot of colleges where your candidature wont be affected becus of your 10th marks. All the best. Keep trying, success will follow.

Guys lets solve this,
How many different signals can be generated with 6 different color flags, when any number of them may be hoisted at a time.

is it 2^6 - 1 = 63 ways?
