about 10% went 'back' to US for job
about 40% back to India got a job (doesn't necessarily mean 'forced' back... many wanted to go back)
about 20% got job in UK
about 10% got job around the world (mostly Singapore / asia. None in HK.)

Oxbridge label definitely is for life. By 2011, assuming the things will recover, I guess there is a fair chance to switch the career from IT strategy to consulting. But it really depends on your own networking abilities. You can not depend on the school to do it for you.

It is apples and oranges man...In US, obviously Yale holds more value than Oxbridge. But in UK Oxbridge is definitely preferred due to the connection to british businesses.

As of now, I guess the placements at IIM are a bit better than Oxbridge for the simple reason that Indian economy is still growing at least by 6% while UK economy is shrinking. I guess your application (written) if first and formost important stage. Interviews at Oxford are fairly simple.
