GD : 10 members, 15 minutes to write on a case study,10 mins for discussion,*
CASE: You are a Sales Guy of a reputed firm which is known for ethics and you are supposed to take a contract from a govt agency this contract is crucial for your company and your job, the govt official is asking for kickbacks for the contract. What will you do ? Will you give bribe for the contract ? If the contract is lost your job will be at stake and this is the last contract etc (as far as I can remember.
Someone Started the GD followed by 4-5 entries, everyone stressed on the business ethics part.
3 guys were not speaking at all so the Panel stopped the GD and asked them to expressed their views. Now I started by saying that "I will try to build a relationship with the govt official and will try to convince on the base of our service, quality and reliability and if required I will not give any bribe I will give gifts such as dairies, pens or calender as they will not only will help build relations but will also act as a marketing tool. Everyone was saying about tendering process and that we must cut our price and be L1 to get the tender. I explained that there are other ways of procurement in Govt Cos such as Rate Contract and explained it . It was like everyone else was debating against me . I was pretty enjoying the total attention.

3. How much are you earning? What if after college you get the same or less package?
I told...and said that my main goal now is to do my PG in Management and I am sure that I will get good package which I deserve and even if I dint get it at the start but later I am sure I will get what I deserve.
4.What did you learnt from your company and work ex.

5. Why do you want to do MBA from College why dont you do correspondence.
Ans: Told that I had it all planned to do my MBA from reputed college after getting some work ex because that would make me mature and confident and give knowledge of real world So I could perform much better in college.
5. Will you be able to live in Chennai
I told them that I had been in a tourig job for 2.5 years and have lived in many places, I will have no problem at all living in chennai as I have been there before and I am familiar with the culture.
6. Tell me some drawbacks of your product.
I told them something which was a good business to the company but drwback to the customer but overall company and customer both were on win win side. The panel smiled and said good :P
That was all they said thank you you may go.
They dint asked me for any questions .
My personal feedback*: Interview was taken by panel of 3.. Very experienced and wise. Very well behaved panel. They were interested in what i was saying. It took only 10 minutes in the interview and they asked mostly related to my work.
Seniors ! I am worried and apprehensive about my selection. What do you guys say??
